@@alexman378 I'd agree on bravest but most certainly not the wisest! His error of judgement started so early on in this show. From the point he took his first Girlfriend (think Porunn was her name) with him into battle, it started a wave of missjudgement. Leaving rollo in paris, arresting floki, leaving ragnars side to travel to meditarrainian sea, leaving the great army in charge of his Brothers and so on. And when he became king, he didn't make one right decision, exiling the soliders who were loyal to Ivar, who then attacked farms and killed his son, saving king Harald, who, because of that became king of all norway and exiling hvitserk, who then joined Ivar and the rus. Those were just a few and his biggest misstakes. Won't even mention how he treated his women...

Maximilian Gulici Thorrun we can chalk it up on him being young and since he had his mother as a model of how women can be, he didn’t know how to handle it. I think Thorrun was definitely his breaking point, emotionally speaking, I don’t think he recovered or moved on and so he never emotionally matured past that point after she abandoned him. Also, was leaving Rollo in charge of the Paris settlement really Björn’s decision? I think it was primarily Ragnar who let him be there. With Harald, truth be told, Id probably do the same. Wrong decision in hindsight, but the guy took a blade for Björn when he could have let him die, he kind of owed Harald one. The rest, yeah, for sure. If he didn’t want to appear as cruel as Ivar, he could have imprisoned the soldiers. Björn is definitely a great military commander and warrior but doesn’t seem to really have a grasp on the King thing.

@@alexman378 yep leaving rollo in paris was his fault. After ragnars fake funeral im Paris, ragnar fell ill and slept until kattegat. When Rollo said, I'll stay, Bjorn said, Ok it's decided then. Back in Kattegat, Ragnar confronted Bjorn with his misjudgement, asking hin why he arrested floki for the murder of athelstan, and why he left Rollo in charge of Paris. Bjorn answered; He's my uncle, ragnar then said; and he is my brother, I know him better than you -> hinting on when Rollo betrayed ragnar the first time. I honestly disagreed with his decision of saving Harald. First of all, Haralds ambiton of becoming king of all norway wouldn't have changed, when bjorn would have managed to save him. So he'd be saving an enemys live. Harald also worked with Ivar to take kattegat and stood against Bjorn more than one time. They would have managed the attack of the rus, if it wasn't for Haralds wicked games to become king of norway. Many kings didn't even sent their troops out because Harald was the one asking. I think Bjorn should have let Harald die and should have become king of norway.

I honestly never rly liked björn. He was not the smartest and often made bad decisions. He didnt care for his daughter when she died for what I cannot forgive him. He didnt treat his wifes like they deserved. He only was a brave warrior for what I admire him. But I still don't like him
