This was dope. People need to visit New Orleans. There so much culture there probably the most in the US.

Bounce for the Juvenile was the first song to mention bounce. Juvenile signed his first major record deal as a result of that song. It was featured on DJ Jimmi first album. As a MC Juvenile is one of the founders of bounce music.

I have always wonder why that song was on Jimmi album or has his name thanks for that

Nobody signed a major record deal in New Orleans but my brother Jimi in the early 90’s everybody knows that here. They were only local. If they did sign, it never went anywhere. Master P, Cash Money Records and Mystical were all known on a local level, until Jimi opened his mouth. Jimi is the reason why the music industry started looking at the talent here in New Orleans. In the early 90’s Cash Money records was the only record label that was heard of in New Orleans, and Brian was only signing local talent at that time like U.N.L.V. but the music wasn’t moving especially when yella got killed one of the members from U.N.L.V. Cash Money really went down after that, until Lil Wayne came in the picture. All of us know here in New Orleans who was and still is the king of bounce, if not why did they induct Jimi into the New Orleans hall of fame? Why is his picture in the museum on the wall with many other big legends that once lived here but are now deceased. I really wish people would stop discrediting Jimi cause trust me, this whole city know the truth. I love all the artist from NOLA but they need to acknowledge that no major record label was looking at any artist here until Jimi opened his mouth. They were all upcoming rappers, Juvenile used to sell his music from his car, we all know this. But I must say, I’m proud of every rapper that has made it from here cause I know where they started. Jimi is doing well from all of his hard work, and has a lot of stuff lined up right now people still want him for shows he showed me all of the invitations just to show his face. His music will live forever, even when he’s gone. #putsomerespeckondjjiminame #djjimilegend⚜️⚜️⚜️
