It's how you carry yourself in all honesty. This incident, while bad, was an outlier in Mars' career. Other artists, let's say like Chris Brown, are habitually running into problems which make it significantly worse. Gorilla and Uptown Funk reference cocaine, but who cares he seems like a nice guy.
