Can I just say the comparasions from the start to end? First, she really wanted to be a superhero, and she became one. She wanted to find her family, she got her family. She found herself, kept pushing herself until she felt good enough. Daisy Johnson has gone through hell and you portrayed this beautifully.

We laughed, we struggled, we lost, we won, we cried, and rejoiced with Daisy throughout this journey, and I'm sorry that this is the last time we will see her in action. anyone else mad that they kind of made Daisy out to be a "bad" leader, dont get me wrong i could see her let her emotions make the choices, especially when Coulson is in danger, but all through out the series they built her up to be this leader and the a heart of the team, and it just led to her getting insulted and hated by the team. Idk thats one of the many reason I don't necessarily like YoYo she put too much blame on Daisy for her "mistake" and too be honest she did the same thing she accused Daisy of ; by killing Ruby. I mean for christ sake didn't she admit it herself? And I also don't not like Mack as a leader, I mean I think he would also be a good leader, but it was also shown in season 2 that he could also let his emotions get the better of him, i mean that was the main problem he had as a character. In the end i was just really disappointed that she wasn't leading anything, and that it was one of the many reason's she was made out to be the bad guy of the team. She was insulted and ridiculed a lot for leaving the team, being bossy, or being dramatic or letting her emotions control her decisions when that was a lot of the teams problem. When it comes down to it her and Fitz had the most trauma and yet she was as emotional as the rest.

Couldn't agree with you more. Both Coulson and Mack made bad/emotional decisions as leaders but the show didn't seem to care about that. Daisy was more than capable of leading at the beginning of Season 3 before Hive and led the team out of the Framework in Season 4. Then in Season 5 she is told that she will destroy the world, her father is dying, and her best friend tortures her and the guy who sold her into slavery is suddenly a part of the team ... who wouldn't be a bit emotional. Then don't get me started on Yo-Yo - she withholds pertinent information and then is nasty when she doesn't like Daisy's decisions. The show claimed for years to be this show with strong females, but I've also never seen a show use so many sexist, misogynistic tropes or shit on its main female protagonist like AoS did. How they handled her leaving post Hive and her mental health is criminal, and I never really could forgive Fitz and Mack for that scene in 4x02. And how they used gaslighting and victim blaming and women can't be leaders because they are too emotional in season 5 is offensive and makes it hard to watch or forgive Fitz, Yo-Yo, Simmons and Deke. I mean they couldn't even apologize when she steps down and say yeah we're sorry that we blamed you for your torture, never gave you a chance to lead and were so nasty and insubordinate. How hard would that have been? I guess it shows how far we still have to go for true gender equality when the criticisms you listed are some of the oldest ones used to condemn strong women - bossy, dramatic, emotional and weak.

The fact that Mack was able to be the most sane throughout the second half of Season 5 without getting soaked in by the prophecies and crossing lines shows that he has the emotional maturity to be a leader. This was evident as far back as Season 3 when Coulson made him acting director in the mid-season finale.

And he does it like every season. Whining about how he wants to quit. Don’t get me wrong Mack is one of my favorite characters i just think it was stupid to make him a leader in a season that he didn’t play a big role in.

And how they sidelined a lot of the other characters emotional outburst, but when Daisy does something dramatic it’s like a big problem. I just hope that when and if Daisy ever joins the MCU (which i think she will) she has a big leadership role, and or plays a big role in team decisions. For now in my head i’ll have to stick to some of the comic book storylines where she was director for a little while atleast.

It's not about how much a role he has played. It's about his qualifications to be a leader. He stays by his decisions. He doesn't let emotions cloud his judgment, not does he compromise what shield stands for. There have been times we he has to be the moral compass for the characters. Making Mack director was the right choice, and the team all voted him despite the disagreements they had in the beginning. They know that they lost themselves in this season and recognized that Mack stood by his core beliefs. And the decision being a vote instead of a hand off shows a level of trust.

Disney plus once updated and wouldn’t let me watch agents of shield (turns out it just downed my age rating ) for 24 hours and i was in the middle of the season with Lincoln and her becoming quake. Spoilers, obviously. And apologies for being on Fitz's side during a controversial episode (you may know the episode already) Watching Daisy's journey during season 3, and her telling Fitz in season 4 that it was not his fault for his doctor personality, I sympathize, but it just makes me more mad at her for her blame of the mental insanity Fitz went through in s5 ep 14. Where she was very angry about his action, which was not only the safest course (saved at LEAST hundreds despite the potential for her to destroy the world later) but was because of both his brain's stress in the framework in season 4 and the brain damage drowning in season 1. Weird that she never thought about how similar it was to her own journey and Hive's influence on her in season 3. Yet again, because of someone evil, a brain had been altered. Nevertheless, great video of her journey. Still my favorite TV show.
