I think it's just a custom model to avoid copyright, though based off of a different aircraft like the one you mentioned, in the new MW ​trilogy the gunship is a custom model based off the AC-130 @Toniusaurus

Kinna annoy that the Gunship and Juggernaut always follow us in every COD😂. And I kinna miss the old day where AC-130 mission was a bit harder due to visibility and restriction to civilian property damage and we use them in the actual war (like in OG MW3)

You also have to realize that as ac-130 get more upgrades, it will have better cameras and sensors. All of the new ac-130j have cameras pretty much in 4k and in full color as well. Gone are the days of ac-130s have fuzzy cameras. Mw2022 is the most accurate depiction of what a modern day ac-130 looks like that mission also had rules of engagement as well even more than the mw3 mission. If you watch the ac-130 video by Sam eckholm it looks exactly like mw 2022.

@@VayapayamNair I didn't say or meant to elaborated that those things are bad by any mean in reality. What I meant "in the actual war" it mean in that game mission not reality. It's pretty common knowledge to be fair about military grade components or equipments like tank's thermal imaging sight, aircraft's targeting sight or just a regular vehicle camera from an APC. They are all very high quality than regular civilian or commercial use. Nothing is wrong about that for sure

ac-130 in the 30ish player ground war matches in mw2019 was amazing, could get over 30 kills with it on certain maps, promenade was pretty much guaranteed to get you around 20 kills each time.

BO6 gunship is the most overpowered hands down with the amount of flares and HP, also the rocket pods and dual 40mm. The minigun is a bit weaker though but you get a nasty daisy cutter too.

The AC-130 Gunship (and the Dreadnought from BO6) had better versatility than most Gunships here in CoD, as switching between weapons provides some good variety, especially depending on the target. However, they're quite hard to obtain in MP, and maintaining a killstreak would be impossible when against players, especially in newer CoDs and Mobile.

mw2 and mw2019 ac-130s felt the most lethal (mw2 due to no spawn protection). Loved playing ground war in mw2019 and getting a gunship on any of the maps but tvorsk distrct because it was almost always 10-20 kills each time. Plus the mw2019 ac-130 was pretty much never shot down

Mw 2022/2023 is the best interpretation of what the modern day ac-130J looks like. If watch the ac-130 video by Sam eckholm, mw2022/2023 is the most accurate depiction of the ac-130 in use.

Are the rocket pods in the dreadnought guided? Do you hve to keep aiming with the crosshairs in order for them to stay closer together? Or they spread out on their own?
