I still remember playing the Skate 1 demo when it came out. It just blew everything out of the water. I still think it's one of the most impressive games of all time, in how it completely revolutionized an established genre.

Yes, I played it for the first time like 2 years ago, and I'm still addicted. I also think it was a little unfairly portrayed in this video compared to skater xl, because on skate1 u can be soo smooth with it :D maybe the graphics can not compete anymore but the gameplay feels amazing, even prefer it to skate 3. Still a cool video tho.

I vividly recall firing up the original Skate demo at my buddies house for a sleepover and we were absolutely losing our shit over how impressive it was. Started playing Skate 2 on my old PS3 the other day and I've been having a blast with it.

A lot of good games were left off this list. Street Skater was a great game. Grind Session might have well as been Tony Hawk 2 since the games controls and graphics were very similar.

Tony hawks underground 1,2 were probably the funnest skating games. Wasteland was advertised as having no loading screens for the Time that was huge.

There used to be a skateboard game I forget if it was Xbox 360 or ps3 but you used to be able to go into slow motion and control each foot to flip the board which ever way you pressed the analogs and you could catch the board mid flip and flip it the other way but I cant remember the name of it for the life of me.

I think skate 3 has the perfect balance of letting you go full arcade with massive jumps and impossible tricks but still being able to throw down some nice realistic street and vert seshes 🤙🏽 I agree though that when they are too realistic it takes some of the fun away and can be frustrating.

Seems like a very random and odd selection of games. Instead of having 3 THPS games and 4 Skate games you should have diversified to better show the evolution. Mixed in something like 720, Skate or Die, Thrasher: Skate & Destroy, Grind Session, TC Surf Design, etc
