Here's why i use bullpups. They dont need many attachments to be effective. Just get a scope, foregrip and a muzzle device, you're good to go. Unlike every other gun in the game which is balanced on the high end with best attachments, bullpups are ready from the get go.

@@slowlydying6967 mdr556 is literally the best all-around effective budget weapon in the game since it came out. you can literally use it stock with iron sights and have fully controllable high-ergo weapon, easy to use in cqb, and ready to be attached with attachments you find in raids for just 50k. And alot of people just leave stock mdr's and take just the attachments. Something of a fraud gun, even if not to the extent of 7x2 shotguns.

I'll give it a try sometime but I spend most of my time doing tasks in complete darkness with minimal gear. Maybe next wipe I'll give it a go. Also, I just don't like how they look :b

@@slowlydying6967 if you wanna get good at the game, you eventually need to learn what to do in a firefight, and you only get better at that with experience, not avoidance. Deadlyslob had a great rule for example, you basically buy your stock budget gear, a cheap gun, comtacs, good ammo, meds and armor just enough to help against scavs and shotguns, and you only upgrade it with the amount of money you made in that raid. No further. It works great, and is very repeatable. You may use stock weapon more often than not if you're new at the game, but you'll still be playing with good gear once in a while without going broke. That will give you experience in how you play the game. You do need good ammo though, even if its just one or two mags.(maybe use different types of mags to recognize which ones have good ammo) You need to be able to penetrate lvl5 armors at least if you want to have a chance to survive against geared players. That way, even if you go against Lvl6 armored opponents your headshots will still be deadly against them (lvl6 helmets are extremely visually impairing so nobody uses them, hence lvl5 helmet is the most you'll go up against.) And when you upgrade your gear, first upgrade should be a magnified optic of your choise. Dont be too cheap here, something that lets you headshot an enemy at range with ease will help immensely for alot of situations you'll find yourself in. If you got good ammo, all you need is one headshot to take down a guy with two million rubles of gear. Another small tip is that dont buy helmets, only use ones you find that lets you wear a comtac. They are not cost friendly except something like tac-kek(15k with high ricochet chance). A comtac + a shemagh for example will do more for you than a Zsh helmet that blocks your hearing. Stealth is your friend. Whatever sound you hear your character makes, an enemy can detect. If you can master that, you'll always be the one getting the first shot. Anyways sorry for wall of text. But these are things i wish i knew when i started.

Until I can reliably get good AP ammo (meaning not spamming the refresh button on fence hoping to get some AP20 Slugs) I think I'll stick to hiding in the bushes shooting people's knees. As an ASH-12 user there is one key thing you left out. The legger. I've only ever experienced this mutation once, as it happens when there is scare munitions. Usage of the PS12A round makes the ASH user uncounterable in close quarters, as the lessened recoil allows for easier targeting of limbs, that cannot form armor. Also the fact that PS12B has a STUPID high pen chance and blunt damage, after using it nonstop in chad stages for three wipes I can say that the only way you die in CQC, is if you run out of ammo.

I’ve also been studying the bull pup family tree. Personally, I’ve observed quite the opposite concerning Stage 1 members. Due to their cheaper ammo types and limited budget, I find them utilizing the bull pup nature and cheap close-range optics to aggressively clear close corners in factory. From there, those who’ve adapted with better trigger fingers move to refining the RFB, or upgrading to the .308 MDR. Meanwhile, those who are unable to control the recoil, or shoot quickly, move towards the 5.56 MDR. Ultimately, these two branches may also lead to other families entirely. The 5.56 MDR users may find it lacking, or themselves lacking, leading to either meta M4 builds, or budget AK101 builds respectively. And the .308 MDR and RFB users may end up adapting to the SA-58 and the SR25 respectively.

DT MDR 7.62x51 and Ash-12 are a great couple. DT MDR 76.2x51 is Quick and deadly. Mostly Stealth and on rare occasionally Loud. For those who face someone using DMR, would make anyone's armor both class 5 or class 6 users sense of dread once they survive an encounter. ASH-12 can be described by the user or prey. Sadistic and Masochist Bitch that doesn't want to kill you but what remains of your soul. only those who know her enough could see her potential and utilize her strength and weakness. that's why my friend and I call this gun Hori from Horimiya.
