The claim that reporting about extremism emboldens extremists attacks seems misplaced. Khomeinsts believe that they are widely supported as ‘the resistance’ because they see these claims remain unchallenged in western media on the most part. The efforts to make these extremists sound like fools in sandals is worrying. It’s pretty clear that the foot soldiers of extremism aren’t the brain surgeons of the outfit. It’s the organised criminals that direct the foot soldiers that are the real concern, and I’m shocked at how these ‘open source’ experts don’t seem in touch with what is currently going on..

Go read history and see what his legacy was. He never resorted to violence unnecessarily. The first three self-proclaimed Caliphs, who played politics after him, and their supporters were the ones who spread the Muslim state. Case in point: check the size of Muslim State during Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s time. Read books and articles on him before making empty and baseless judgements. You are just making mockery of yourself. There is a reason that the UN cited him as one of the best people who ever lived. He even never let a tree be cut during wars. Children, elderly, and women were off limits. On the contrary, go read what the Crusaders or Barbarics did!

How about an interview with people who understand the Middle East.. like people from the Middle East. The BBC is yet to interview Dalia Ziada about her book ‘The Three Legged Wolf’ as far as I am aware. Also Jasmine Mohammed about her work through her organisation ‘Free Hearts, Free Minds’, as well as Armin Navabi and his work through Atheist Republic. It’s not sufficient to pussyfoot around the risks here any more. It’s absolutely possible to communicate the real risks of extremism *including in the west* without demonising Muslims in general.

Google what they did to get rid of extremism in Germany and Japan after WWII They had to get rid of all the books etc. I'd say, in the whole.scheme of things, it was quite successful.
