Though I have had my share of Halo LAN parties, the original Xbox and 360 ushered in the era of online capable consoles and online multiplayer for console games. Hmmm....interesting indeed.

I have played and owned every major game console since the NES up to XboxOne and PS4. The XboxOne controller is the best controller ever created. I play most games on my Xbox One because the PS4 controller battery life is terrible and the Xbox One controller is superior in every way.

Controller preference depends on size or hands and shape. I like the Xbox one controller more than the ps4 because the triggers on the ps4 are too high for my fingers and they are at a angle that is very uncomfortable.

Microsoft did have an entire gaming divison LONG before Xbox was even a thought. They made excellent games for Windows 95 and 98 up to almost XP. Monster Truck Madness,Midtown Madness,Motorcross Madness.etc some sports stuff lots of dynamite edutainment which we still have but doesn't work on 64 bit. (Though it does work on PCEMU with an ISO of 98SE). They had Microsoft Kids with series like Magic School Bus and Creative Writer/Artist which makes Reader Rabbit garbage. Sure it's fun once to count the chickens in the barn.

why does my Xbox 360 looks completely different than everyone else's. it's a perfect square rectangle right, it's much thinner and never burns out, and it doesn't have an x symbol for where the green area is. It's just a target that's green, but it works better than any Xbox 360 ive seen. why is it that way.

The Original Xbox was kind of ahead of its time. I still remember how amazing Halo looked on my old TV, with basic stereo sound and all these years later it looks amazing on my HD TV. The orchestral music with the ethereal choir was such a joy to hear and really went well with the amazing graphics, which don't seem that bad considering it was from 2001. Halo 2 pushed the graphics capabilities of the Xbox to their limits (any one remember how long it took to load the detailed cut scenes?) and it's still one of my favourites of the series, along with Halo 3. Also it was the console that introduced us to the Splinter Cell franchise, Lego games, Max Payne, Need for Speed (although they were on the PS2 as well) and some great Star Wars games from LucasArts.

Funny thing is, PC has become very receptive to console players, what with integrated controller support for pretty much every game that comes out. You may spend $1,400 on a decent rig, but over the console lifespan, you actually spend less money on your PC than consoles (Steam sales, 'nuff said). Plus, higher frame rates, better graphics, better physics, modder friendly (yes, that can double as a negative), upgradable, faster and more expansive hard drives, multi display support, and you can use tons of different input devices and peripherals.

Xbox, a console created by 4 guys on their spare time and were able to take the the gaming industry by storm by providing 1080i and Wi-Fi connection in 2001. That is almost unthinkable especially for that time period. Proud to own an Xbox One X and have been a proud Xbox player since the beginning!

Maybe im alone in this... But when he starts talking about how the xbox really hot it big by having a built in network port, and the birth of xbox lan parties... I literally started crying... So much nostalgia anf so many really wonderful memories. The days when i literally spent all my allowance money and what ever i could make doing anything possible, on buying more xboxes, controllers and tvs where ever and how ever possible, so that i could host lan parties for me and my friends.
