G Dragon has undoubtedly had a major influence on kpop with his drive, creativity and innovation. A very talented, smart and hardworking man (also polite, modest and always ready to give due credit to others.) In BIGBANG's 1st concert, just a few months after their debut, all members already had solo songs and GD and TOP also did sub unit with Park Bom. G Dragon's lasting influence is imo, undeniable - and not to take away from that, but Taeyang was actually the 1st one to release a solo album - I think GD's came out a year later. I think GD was the 1st solo member of the group to do a World Tour though. Also, their hiatus before the 2015 album was not due to enlistment, but due to solo and sub-unit work, group tours and writing new materials (They don't just pump stuff out - but focus on quality.) BIGBANG's influence as a group is also, imo, undeniable. I have read international critic reception if their world tours that say things like - this was the best staged concert in the USA this year, western artists need to learn from this. Will 4evr have respect for GD's and.BIGBANG's past contributions - and am sure i will feel the same way about what they bring in the future. Also, thank you YG for giving them a platform.

Video is a little bit incorrect. GD was not the first one who did solo debut among BB. To be honest every member had solo song on their debut studio album "BigBang Vol. 1": "This Love" (G-Dragon solo) - has MV "My Girl" (Taeyang Solo) - has MV "Big Boy (T.O.P solo, featuring Lee Eun-joo) "Next Day (Seungri solo)" "Try Smiling (Daesung solo)"

@@dashofpoptv GD debuted with Little Roo'Ra in 1994. But solo debut he did after Taeyang, Daesung. Even Seungri debuted in a musical Sonagi in 2008. Always your welcome!
