@@CameronZimos I know right !? It failed on so many aspect that I am shocked it isn't divisive at the very least ! There was barely any dialogue option or choices that matter, damn I punch one of the twin and dismembered the other (yet) they still sided with me at the end of the episode!

Never played a Telltale game before so for me the length is perfect. If a game has a story and it thinks it can tell that story in ~5 hours then perfect. No need for padding and such. And this length also makes it perfect for me to replay since they have no dialogue skipping. I know I can use Cheat Engine to speed up the game but yeah.

They should’ve released it all at once if the episodes are only an hour long the TWD and wolf among us episode were 2 hours maybe longer sometimes

Yes, older Telltale games were about 1,5 - 2 hours per episode.

Hey massive Telltale fan here. I clocked in around 80 mins on EP1, and that was by exploring the entire ship and doing all the side objectives and optional conversations. My issue isn't with the length but the pacing. It's a very slow start to the season and while I did enjoy it, its missing kind of that shock and awe you normally get from a telltale/deck nine episode. Also to add to the length dispute...Later telltale games ended up having some really short episodes in some of their series. Batman S1 EP2 was around 80 mins, Michonne's entire season was 60-70 mins in length, ANF first 2 episodes were 70 mins each. Wolf Among Us's finale is barely an hour, but its one of my favorite finales they done. You can do a lot with a runtime of any kind, its just important how they use it.

the length various between episodes they said also im playing Spiderman 2018 again on PS5 this its not much of a deal braker for me. im glad you liked it the show defiantly gets better every season its on Amazon prime. also the bonus episode is set on earth with another character from the show.

Enjoying it so far. Disappointed its going to be ending soon. Thats fucked. I like the 2 weeks until next episode though. I was expecting it to be 2 hours like a normal Telltale. 30 mins is unacceptable. One of my favorite series ever. Camina is the only character in the books or show though. Camina is a no non sense, tough, smart Belter.

I don't e the length as a negative at all. I am sick of games being padded. Quality over quantity 100% of the time for me. If it's based on great story telling & acting I'm in. If the average length of an episode for the TV series is a little over 40 mins to an hour & this being episodic week that makes sense to me.

I definitely agree with quality over quantity, however the episode wasn't great. It was fine. So it was really short, and much shorter than usual for Telltale game lengths, and the quality wasn't at an elite level

You get all episodes though. So it'll be 5-6 hour. But yeah if only getting half what I expect from Telltale for double the price is a bit much.

Same boat, no experience with the Expanse universe and was hoping this would be a good launching point. Sadly, the game could have done a lot more with a codex ala Mass Effect for familiarizing players with the acronyms, technologies, and cultures. I was very disappointed by the length as much of the episode felt padded with zero g, which are fine if there more meat to chew on in crew or environment interactions. Not being able to see the benefits of all the extra scavenging I did doesn't sit right with me as the preview text for episode 2 says the crew is running short on supplies; falling into the old criticisms of choices-matter narrative games where choices are only a slight change in a single voice line or a log entry.

....and that's why I decided not to bother with it. You can pick up AC Valhalla for a tenner on sale and that's probably 100hrs. This does not represent good value for money no matter how big a fan of the EXpanse you are.

Like I said, I read a review from someone who played the first 3 and they said "Several of the episodes" are around 30 minutes. So I'd expect at least 1 of the next 2 to be similar length

They said since it’s under new management now they are trying to do things different and not do those choices that did nothing at all. This time the choices determine if ur crew dies or how many survive, like the dark pictures games
