I’m surprised Decknine made this game so short when before the storm and True colors had 2to3 hour episodes

Yeah, but Life is Strange was Decknine's baby that literally saved their company from bankruptcy -- they might have revived Telltale, but they *aren't* Telltale Games. Don't expect their first dip into Telltale's pool to completely mirror the old company in form and function. It's still a different developer from the Telltale Games games we're used to, and the Telltale games and the LiS game series were never all that similar to begin with, even though they both had a unique artstyle and a focus on storytelling. Plus, with their history and knowledge of bringing their company back from the brink of destruction, who can blame them for playing it safe with their first Telltale game rather than sinking all their capital into this game and having it fall flat and take down both studios in the process? They took a chance acquiring Telltale Games, but they're not about to focus all of their assets into the studio unless they know they can make it successful and recoup the production losses. This title was a test for them, not their breadwinner for the year.

That's the question I'm trying to dig without ruining the ending for this game. The whole point of telltale return was to put them under new management to truly deliver on games that have decisions that matter. I wondered if this game delivered on that but I haven't seen anyone say that anything about it. It's usually just comments of watch the expanse or hey telltales back.

So when people call Star Trek Resurgence bad and outdated, I'll just point them to this. Not to say that I can't look past jank, but others like to exadurate.
