Beautiful ...Just exquisite... these days I am utterly unmoved by most Drama and Fiction... it just bores me ... But these Expert ... I find myself moved and captivated. Drawn into a diffeerent realm ... It reminds me of when I hear Peotry read properly for the first time. I think they call it the "Willing suspension of disbelief" ...I am still got tears on my cheek ... THX

@@Nellynog62 A I have said before I have done some jail time... Nothing is ever as simple as it seems once people get involved. Sure, lines must be drawn as to when an individual become so much of a menace to the community as to justify their exclusion. But it is "Either Or" Remembering that incarceration is expensive. I met people in jail who pretended not to have any memory of thier offending behavior and it was "plain as day they were lieing. " In other instances it was more complicated. As a fellow prisoner .... and a good listener .nothing to gain either way .. they could be themselves. And either lied to me transparently or told me the Truth as best as it meets thie recollection ...

People just throw others into a garbage bin...Jail... and people like me and some Sociologists as "bunny huggers" ... "every sad sack has a sad song" ... I had a tooth extracted and it hurt like buggery ... a bloke i barely knew had stashed some powerful analgesics... "this might give you a good Night Brother" and it surely did ... He never "stood over me" ... before ..and afterwards it was apperent that it gave him no advantage ...He just did it from the feeling that I was a "fellow man" ... But there were others who were so clearly monsters ... the "System" couldnt pick it but I could...

They recognized my Humanity and Human Nature is such that it is always reciprocal. Had they not done this to me ... well I would call the Social Contract off ..as It hasppened when I was realeasded I DID live next door to them... and I could have been all "beaten out of shape" but I wasnrt ... Oh Hells Bells ? had I wanted revenge I have the nastiness and learning to have caused havoc.... but I didnt ..I joined the local Volunteer Fire brigade ....then a bush fire went though And I was fighting inconcievable forces to protect them ... and thier homes... just like they did for me when I was in Jail.

@@markawbolton Thanks for your very insightful comments. I'm so glad the you are enjoying these episodes. It's taken a long while to find them and then a little bit of dithering to finally decide to upload all the eps I have found. I thought 'What if the BBC come after me?' In the end I decided that The Expert was such a groundbreaking series and the BBC has more of them in their archives that I haven't seen but they are not interested in releasing them or in putting them out on DVD. We have contacted them and they basically told us to bugger off and stop bothering them!

Just ONE of the excellent qualities of the series, is that every episode does NOT end with a conclusive solution ; as in LIFE...

I found this one extremely moving.... I speak as one who has done jail time but now have a clean criminal record... Art rarely reflects Life but in this case it assuredly does.
