Because they took the STOCK out of Stock Car and foisted this crap on us. Crown Vic racing classes are more fun to watch than Nascar.

@@plantfeeder6677 You need to remember a lot of this started back in the mid 60's with the unit body or uni-body cars. But they could change to stock appearing, stock dimension bodies if they wanted to. The cars are over engineered in my opinion.
