Because I was brought up and live in QLD, I think this was the Explorers episode which most piqued my interest, back in the day. I'm so glad that someone preserved this series on video tape, and now viewable on KZbin. Grateful to be able to see them again.

Judging by the S symbols at the start of the telecast, the "what's coming up" segments after the end, and the few seconds lost from the very start of Episode 7 (as transmitted on the day, I think), my guess is that your VHS recordings were made at the same time as I made mine, circa late 1991? I think I still have them somewhere, except that I ran out of tape on this particular episode and only got up to Leichardt's arrival in Port Essington. I have known and loved this mini-series (in spite of some shortcomings in its lingering colonial perspective) for most of my life, but I have never seen the back half of this episode until today. I never managed to record the Giles and Warburton episode either (Episode 10) so I am eager to see this for the first time, too, if you still have it. Many thanks for posting these programs, all these years later. Greatly appreciated.

Thank you for putting this up ,Very interesting . Sad they don't make stuff like this any more Due to activist narratives

Very true. It would probably be difficult to watch if it was made again.

@ No I think people are hanging out for Australian TV . The only problem is it talks about aboriginal people and white people getting on which would upset a lot of the activists
