I'd start with 1 sec each. Then move up to 2 secs and so on. How often per 5 mins? I'm not going to give you an answer to that because that will make things worse by giving you something else to think about while you're talking to her. You ask a great question but tbh, it doesn't matter as much as the level of comfort that you're giving off while you're doing it. So keep practicing it until it starts to feel natural and you're more comfortable with holding eye contact. Always keep in mind; girls are as comfortable with you as you are with you. If you're thinking about the triangle and how long to hold it and when it's time to stop doing it, she's going to be wondering what you're thinking about. So at first, use it while you're talking to her or she's talking to you, then move up to using it when neither of you are saying anything. Good luck buddy.
