The voice for this clip is Michael Kramer. He along with his wife Kate Reading do the audio versions of all of the Wheel of Time books. The music is not part of the audio books, but a very nice enhancement here.

one of the most epic moments in WoT for me is when Rand strolled into the white tower to talk to his friend Egwene late in the series. I won't say more to spoil anything for readers who haven't got that far.

For me it was the moment the taint becomes too much and the madness takes him, and he becomes the dragon reborn in truth. His final breaking point was so heartbreaking and at the same time it was the culmination of all the events and hopes of the preceding books. Such a moment of conflicting emotions. Edit: sorry for the spoils, I tried to keep it vague but that's literally my favorite moment in the whole series

Theyl never be able to give proper credit to the extreme high quality of WoT in any retelling of the story. This is easily one of the best fantasy prologues ever made. I'm on book 9 now but I always listen to this prologue as I start a new book. Such an amazing audio reading, doubly so with the epic background music. Let the prince of the morning sing to the land!

You know, I've hated the prologue when I first read it. It was the first fantasy I ever read and I was completely lost. I skipped it on re-reads because I remembered not liking it. Decided to give this clip a listen. I have a new appreciation for it now. The context from having competed the series a few times makes it so epic. Btw, the music in the clip defintly adds something special to it.
