Despite his eyes being the thing that Subaru hates the most about his appearance, they're also his most defining physical trait. In my opinion, anyway. You can always get a vague idea on how hes really feeling by looking at them, even when the show isnt actively drawing attention to them.

Seeing how eyes in the lightnovel are described as showing more than what any characters are aware that they are showing, it doesn't surprise me that the anime puts emphasis on them. Without going into spoilers there is a loop, in arc 7, that Subaru had the potential to lose to because people could read his eyes.

What microphone do you use and are you using and acoustic foam? Great video essay btw

I believe I use an Audio Technica AT875R. As for the foam, on this recording I neglected to use a proper pop filter which messed up a good number of spots. The redubs are quite obvious XD. Hope this helps!

Something else with the eyes is with Satella, you can see who is in control by the color. Envy will have a more static color of amethyst and obsession like broken Emilia. Where will Satella have eyes like Emilia(or Emilia has eyes like satella?)
