The small horn section gives the band a 40’s- 50’s sound… a nice real mature change to the old lineup, very nice!

I was at this show. Kim is why I attempted to learn harmonica. When it comes to Chicago style blues harp he’s the greatest living example of that to me. Muddy Waters wasn’t kidding. Plus he’s a good singer and great front man. Living legend and national treasure.

My name is Dora my sister is Roma, she was a professional Blue's singer, back iin the day. I'm so glad to see Kim and his band. I used to catch his performances in Kansas' City mostly at the Grand Emporium when Roger Naber operated it. Kid Ramos was with the band. And at several outdoor concerts. I also saw him in 2007 Legendary Rhythm and Blue's Cruise. Fantastic singer. His voice is very distinct. I said hi to him once in the middle of the ocean. He acknowledged me then immediately turned his attention to then wife and band mates.

I love the Fabulous Thunderbirds, but this is not them, this is Kim’s Blues Review. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got all of Kim’s solo stuff too. The last incarnation of the T-birds that I consider to be actually a T-birds feel and attitude is Kirk and Nick guitar duo. Every incarnation before but none after. Seems Kim is using The T-Birds name for booking gigs only.
