I seem to recall Jim finding a random out of place key in his Slingshot People video. I have a feeling that the developer was so incompetent that the key wound up in a different game entirely.

@unimaginativehandle42018 жыл бұрын
bboythekidstudios the weird thing about Slingshot People is that there are keys for every door in the level, but none are locked. I imagine the doors that lead to the end of level trigger are meant to be, but they coded the trigger wrong & that door displays 'press E to collect key' instead of 'press E to use door'; so the door is its own key.

Don't lie, Jim. We all know you made this game as one of your ironic Jimsaw torture devices. You force steam greenlight devs to squint so hard just to see anything that they start bleeding from their eyeballs and eventually go blind, just like how they turned a blind eye to the wasteland they've transformed greenlight into. The wasteland which is metaphorically represented by this waste of a game. Don't even pretend for a moment that I can't see right through you Jimbo!

All these games reminds me of a thing that happened three years ago when I came back to school. We had this assignment to do and we had like a month or two to do it. Mine was probably too complex and I somewhat regretted putting too much shit in it(it was as if I planned to open a butcher shop specialized in making various sausages with various cuts, tastes, and even made from spices and herbs that I would have grown myself!) I had maps, a complete list of tools, drawings that I did myself and was barely able to finish in time! Guess what? My unfinished project looked like a complete, finished product compared to some of the other shit the other students did! I did let my teacher know that my work needed more polish and would make amends for it somehow and when she said it was my turn to make my presentation in front of the class I was slightly pissed... For like twenty minutes because that woman was clever and only did it to shame the students who barely made anything in two months! The reactions in my class were hilarious... 😁 I'm telling this because it's an obvious analogy (I did forget it happened, though). Effort shows in a passion project, no matter if it's a work in progress or a finished thing. This? This is the crap work a lazy student would put together in five minutes then be ridiculed in front of the entire class!

PrismaticAngel this is meant to be underground except the hole in the wall is not covered up by the stairs that were meant to spawn in to make the player lead to a different area of the same building to find a key. Imagine a game that' purposefully glitched. Not like "Pony Island", where it's just a puzzle with great ambiance. But a game where you use crazy physics and glitch through walls to win. Where you have to find the glitch in the enemy pathfinding to defeat them and stuff like that. Would be pretty cool. If it already exists, hope I get a recommendation here.

Malcom Chase would it be well made glitches.

Eve Louton They would be intentional, so yeah. They wouldn't have to be actual glitches, just famous ones. @Corpseplower8 жыл бұрын
If a game has a publisher backing it, the developer can skip putting a game up on Greenlight. Valve warned against seeking out a publisher while a game is already on Greenlight though, after the "old" devs of Paranautical Activity tried to use Adult Swim Games to skip finishing the Greenlight process. In the case of the person behind The Face of Hope: Underground, they already had an existing game which passed through Greenlight called Remaining in a Dream that released earlier in October. Once that happened, the developer can release future titles without the likes of Greenlight or any other intermediate process.
@Some_Really_Random_Dude.8 жыл бұрын
There you're wrong, there are no "guys" running greenlight, there are no "women" there either, it's all bribes and computer programs.
@capthavic8 жыл бұрын
Corpseplower oh really? I knew once you paid the $100 fee you could submit as many games as you wanted, but thought they individually still had to pass greenlight to get released.
@Corpseplower8 жыл бұрын
capthavic I think it depends on the developer and/or publisher (if the name is "known", then future games won't need to go through the Greenlight stage). The majority of info I have on the process is dated by about 2-3 years or so (beyond Valve's own Greenlight FAQ) and it's entirely possible that what you say is more accurate.
