This might be the scariest version of this song I've ever seen. Bravo. You truly pulled it off.

WHAT A SETTING! I would've loved to have seen this with such an awesome natural backdrop. Last night, I saw the current Broadway revival of PARADE. While I'm glad I saw it, for me the production was uneven. Great singing voices, a restrained characterization of Frank by Ben Platt and a, by contrast, rather UNrestrained essaying of Lucille by Micaela Diamond were tempered by a heavy reliance of slideshows that portrayed the principal dramatis personae (the gov. of GA, the district atty., etc.) and the Georgia of the late 19th and early 20th centuries (this felt very simplistic to me. It was like watching a slide program at an historical museum that was complimented by live singing). A ditty about a partying and dancing governor early in Act II felt unnecessary. BUT, BUT this performance of "Come up to my Office" is fantastic. The actor portraying Frank -- by terms fidgety YET primal -- has nailed the character, in my opinion. In this number, Platt's Frank moves around and dances. But it seemed forced. The three factory girls backing him up were like showgirls dressed in period dresses. Platt's Frank lacked the Barnstormers' Frank's shading of the character and his multi-dimensional execution (pardon the pun) of it. What a stupendous scene in every sense of the word! Finally -- WHO IS THE ACTOR PORTRAYING FRANK HERE? HE'S GREAT!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Our Frank was a talented amateur performer, Dominic Binefa. I agree his characterisation was excellent and he was also a joy to work with.
