The cool thing about Battlecast is that you can still play it in someway, since the cards even without the app can still be used to play.

I never really got into Skylanders Battlecast but I always kind of wanted to I still have my only two cards to this day and I always wanted to learn how to play Adding on to this, I think if activision made the game more compatible to the real world, I think it would have had a better and or stronger lifespan

I'm glad someone finally covered these, because I had absolutely 0 knowledge going into this, other than that I had gotten some from my Superchargers Starter Pack. I kinda missed out on this one.

I really did enjoy this little mobile game. I actually used the old Skylanders card and see if the AR sensor detected any cards other then Battlecast card, surprisingly it did. Now it didn't reregister the Skylander but I did manage to see them in AR. Good times.

A few years ago, I loved playing a Skylanders mobile game but without cards idk if it is this game, it was a pvp game with a rune system

I hate that we had only one year with this Game and than got took down, Me as someone who love card games and skylanders it was the best game ever and i wish i could play it again some day

I'm sure Activision saw the success of other card-based games in the market, saw the feedback for something like Skystones in Skylanders already, and figured fan traction would be enough to get the ball rolling. Unfortunately, many fans liked Skystones for how simplistic it was, similar to how tic tac toe or connect 4 work. Making it more complex makes it harder to understand, especially to Skylanders' core audience, kids. Those who did play Skylanders and were of the older demographic would have likely not cared about the cards they got because every other game also gave you cards to collect, so why would these slightly different looking ones be any different? If there was more marketing for the game, we could have seen more traction from card game or older fans as mentioned, but it's hard to tell. Skylanders isn't nearly as massive, but Pokemon has the ability to make wacky spinoffs that seem nothing like their base games but still pull in fans from both the main series and newer fans of the existing genre, like with Pokemon Unite. I think if more marketing had been done, and the series had continued after Imaginators, we could have seen Skylanders' own spinoff series.

I did remember skylanders battlecast did a promotion for the kid cuisine that they get a free battlecast card but unfortunately they only had was stealth elf no one else cause they were extremely lazy to add the other characters

Waiting for someone to talk about the ios/android versions of trap team and superchargers Superchargers was the one i played on ios and I have some great memories with it
