As an early 2020 player, it really is sad that YBA is falling from its grace. I took a one year break from YBA (Stone free update - SM update.) I believe this SF (Sticky Fingers) update coming soon is about to change YBA, for the better or worse.

I used to play this game a lot back in 2020 and 2021, this game has really changed a lot, for the better, and the worst. I still like it, but not as much as i used to. I can notice that this game's community has really went down from where it was, and how different it is now. There are probably other games that will overtake YBA, but i guess it will still be popular, although having a trash community.

You know gage has good points, but to go more on the mod team, paragon abuses his power(for example: banning people over beating him in deepwoken) and mods just suppressing the community for having opinions, I wish I could go more into detail but this it so I can save time for now

basically YBA caters to players who arent good at the game(mostly skin traders) paired with its own hrs not being good either so their attempts balancing stands/specs are really awful lol, and competitive players also dont have a voice in these changes bcs since most of them are banned they arent to voice their concerns on changes, or whenever they do get the chance they just brush it off bcs theyre banned or just a comp player in general (when i told paragon that hamon charge gives stun to m1s mf said "nuh uh") and every reworked stand and spec has had an assortment of 7-9 different attack moves(excluding specs) with them barely having any consequences for misusing them, you can just throw out moves without getting punished.Also another problem is paragon suggesting balance changes that remove combo potential with stands+specs in attempts to balance them (ex: boxing nerfs) also the amount of hp needs to be increased thats why theres alot of 80-100% comboes, the reworks and changes are good but theyre doing it wrong

Uzu's refusal to actually balance the spec before or even a week after the stand drops is part of the issue. From Gage's perspective, and probably any "competitive" player will agree that a stand entirely carrying a player is unfair, knowing you could have won that fight if they didn't have access to a temporary modspec (before the new stand gets nerfed). Actually balancing, and preventing bullshit from happening is a step needed to take to bring players back, instead of putting bad/new players on a pedestal. There are 6 arrow stands (NON REWORKED except MR) off the top of my head that can 50% off of one move. Whether you like it or not, every stand made before RHCP is getting reworked. Its entirely necessary to have updated movesets, so every stand is on a fair playing field when it comes to basic combo potential and output. They are necessary, and are inevitable.

No way dude interviewed GAGESUPERSONIC to try and talk abt this game when literally all he does is complain abt it but still makes (low effort) vids on it. also "The playerbase is falling" literally is just false. YBA will have like 6k - 10k players daily, sometimes less and sometimes way more. Not even considering how many players are on during an update. no other jojo game on roblox currently has the ability to rival yba, not aut, not tca, not wos, not sakura stand, none of them. Most of them have only a few hundred players or maybe a couple thousand sometimes. and yeah, yba has its problems, many problems, especially with balancing. But some things that people complain about i dont get. Like the spec reworks, they were op on release but now they are way more balanced (somewhat) and stand reworks like sm or wa, i dont know why people complain abt their combos and stuff when literally anytime they rework smth and its op, it will just get fixed later on. Also boxing did need a rework, literally it was gonna be outdated and theres no point in reworking every spec just to leave some of them the same. also when gage said the game doesnt take skill anymore is WILDDD like sure there are some crazy combos and its easier to win now but saying you dont need skill to win is completely false, it didnt take "high iq plays" back then, yba still had ridiculous combos and still had broken stand and spec combos. Also obviously theres going to be a resurgence when the game updates there always is, and ofc content is gonna have a resurgence, cant miss out on milking the update by making 100 videos on it for as long as its fresh! also also gage saying the game is bad kinda crazy cause if he thinks its so bad now and they havent been making good upds then why does he continue to make videos on it? why does he still play the game? If you don't like what updates a game is getting, why continue to play it. I swear all these yba videos talking abt how bad the game got make the same points everytime, some are valid and some are just nitpicking for no reason, if the game is so unplayable or bad now, just quit. Stop playing the game.

Ybas current state is so sad to see, the game has good visual effects and is an icon in the roblox jojo community but then it just bend over and died the game didnt go downwards in a slope but in gradual steps, first, the new map came out which fryed the devices of many people cause it was massive, second ,the pluck rework making ok stands strong af ruining the meta, then crazy diamond was reworked which had a 1 shot combo which put the meta on its head, then tusk act 4 was unbeatable for a whole month causing outrage cause a simple issue still took so long to fix, then the specs got reworked causing huge lags cause of the excessive visual effects and changing the way people play even more, then soft and wet came out which had its whole moveset consist of strong attacks which lead to MORE one shot combos, and then white album, scary monsters and vampire finally broke the games legs leading to a ton of people leaving. couple that with mods who dont listen to the players and actively ban people who ping them and uzu who is still only available via telephone game with paragon and you get a game where actually getting problems to the higher-ups is almost impossible. speaking of which, the head mod of yba was also exposed of being a pedo (btw idk if its all that true im not up to date) yba is in such a sad state rn and it really hurts and funnily enough the game was the most popular when its was in an update drought, meaning that the op bs from back then was more enjoyable then the stuff from today. But as much as i hope for it, there is no turning back, the strongest stands can still one shot you and trying to fix that would just take away more development time. Yba can trick us once into coming back, but not twice.

I'ma be honest, I did not expect to see Gagesupersonic of all people in this video. Dude is the literal poster child of the worst part of YBA's competitive player base; those being players who are so insanely toxic, that they regularly hunt the Discord accounts of their opponents via the official YBA server so that they may harass and insult those they just fought against. This (rightly) is the entire reason Gage got "cancelled" in the community and banned from YBA in the first place. He fought and lost a 1v1 against a lesser known YBA KZbinr (Daze), and then proceeded to DM him via Discord and hurl racial slurs towards him along with telling him to commit suicide. This wasn't new behavior for gage at the time either. There were already numerous clips and reports of him doing the same thing to other people, and I was already familiar with Gage's behavior myself when I was in a Discord call with one of my friends who were streaming YBA 1v1's and he managed to fight Gage by sheer luck. When Gage lost, he proceeded to baby-rage in my friends Discord DM's with all the usual insults. His "apology" was even more laughable with the excuse of "My IRL situation ain't the greatest, so I spam racial slurs and insults over losing a YBA 1v1.". Going off of what he's said about his IRL situation, I'm 100% sure that myself along with numerous other players can say we have had FAR worse IRL situations, and yet do we result to being toxic to random people we fight on a Roblox Jojo game? Fuck no, we don't. I know this ain't related in anyway to the topic of this video, but considering how much I loathe Gage I'm gonna say it anyway lmao Edit: Apparently bruh labled himself the "Kanye of YBA". Don't really know why you would proudly equivocate yourself to someone who is such a rabid Jew-hater and fan of Adolf Hitler.
