Pastor Jones ; would you agree that to resist the devil ( James 4:7) is to run towards devil as David did 1 Samuel 17:48 .

That’s a great question but I would look at the word resist which means to wrestle, so when we wrestle against the devil we are resisting him.

Your point was very obscured the issue was about David's faith. You never address David's faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. David's Faith was totally based upon what he had observed God had done in his past and the confidence that he would do it in his future. Being that delivering from The Lion and the bear and a restoring flock into his hand. Goliath was an uncircumcised Philistine having no covenant with God having no hope to be able to overcome David. How could you screw this up
