I picked up a very low miles Classic 500 last summer and absolutely love it! I'm turning 60 soon and this bike just hits so many marks for me...looks, simplicity, reliability, handling and economy. I've owned lots of bikes and still ride a BMW R1200RT for serious touring and highway use, but the Enfield is just so special and crazy fun to ride. Harley better pay attention and realize that they're alienating their customer base, seemingly ignoring (at their own peril) what the next generation wants in a motorcycle. One can get a LOT of motorcycle without going broke with a Royal Enfield.

I'm a young guy in the USA. I'm 28 and picked up a brand new interceptor for around $7300 last month. Admittedly, I did trade in my 1982 Honda GL500 Silverwing and I am a diehard Honda fan but for the price, the look, and the affordability it was a no brainer. I want a bike that looks old, but I'm done riding old, unreliable bikes for now. I took the bike in for my first service last week and the dealership had a Bullet 350 on the floor and I told the salesman the only reason I didnt have more Royal Enfield's was because I havent made enough money yet. Both the 350 and 650 are little gems of engines

Harley shit the bed with the nightster but it’s clear their main effort is going into baggers and trikes. The smaller “entry level” bikes are a mere afterthought. Royal Enfield had placed itself perfectly to take over the younger buyer where Harley failed to do so. The question for RE in the future will be whether they try to make something in the “Heavyweight” segment or stick to middleweights.
@nickolaslewis441610 ай бұрын
Considering that in most overseas markets a 400cc engine IS heavyweight, I highly doubt that they will. They make great bikes nonetheless.

The horsepower game is run and won, or should I say run and lost. The Japanese, the Americans and the Europeans have all but ignored the market that the Indians have tapped into with the Royal Enfield range. Smaller to mid sized bikes with a bit of style, adequate performance and a good price point is something that was forgotten by everybody else. Yes, you've got GB350's and SR400's, but that's it. Why would Royal Enfield leave the market in which they are the leaders? There is hardly a dearth of bikes in the "heavyweight" segment. Everyone makes one. But how well do they sell? Royal Enfield sold nearly 5 bikes to HD's one, last year! Royal Enfield have a winning formula: Just make bikes for real world riders. It should be no surprise that it's working for them.

If you have riding experiences and you are drawn towards a Tenere 700 which I consider a serious ADV bike you will be highly disappointed with the Himalayan. I currently own one and am seriously regretting my decision to buy it. I’m not a speed and power guy but at certain times you need those characteristics especially in traffic or navigating specific terrain to ride safely and quite often this fails hard. If you live in an area where there is next to no traffic then perhaps you should consider this. I recommend a nice long test ride in the exact type of riding conditions you will be using it in.

Cool! You'll have a bike for every occasion for less than half the price of a Harley bagger.

bought a 650gt 2 years ago, very impressed with the general build quality, the paint on the tankwould put some high end auto makers to shame, only relays and ignition switch giving problems, suspension is budget so upgraded asap

Yep, I was pleasantly surprised at how high quality the Hunter looked in person.

I've owned BMW'S for almost 50 years and now have a Classic 350 and a GT 650. My dealer sells both brands- lucky for me.!! Quality for an affordable price... 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️

There are a lot of people switching from BMW to RE in the comments. The Germans better watch out.

Just bought a meteor 350. Smooth & refined engine. Great looks. 450 for off road. 650 is too much on India roads. Guess I got the best.

I really liked the Hunter 350 that was on display at the Toronto show last week. Looks like a great value compared to the competition.

Yes, they look really good in person. RE brings the value with the quality it seems.

I’d love to add the new Himalayan to the garage but then there’s the Interceptor and the Continental. But then what colour do you choose? Such beauty’s

RE seems to have a different colour for each day of the week.

I hope they come out with a high displacement V twin for touring at a reasonable price no doubt would be great with their sidecars

I remember when I first got my bike licnse in 1967, there were three "hot" fantasy bikes that were so wild, the Harley Sportster, the 450 Honda and the polished gastank Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor. Back when a 650 was considered a BIG bike. (The rifle is still the best hunting tool in Canada's North.) Pretty"slim" looking Brooke,eh? If they made a 850cc 2024 Interceptor , I'd trade my Z1000, which is faster, but, the heritage would bring me full circle. And Noraly likes them-especially the new 452. Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.

Love your channel mate ! , I have ridden the 650 Interceptor and 411 Himalayan and would DEFINITELY buy Indian of Chinese any day . I own a Moto Guzzi V85tt and Honda CRF 300 Rally , once I’ve killed the Rally 😂😂, may look at the new 450 Himalayan. Regards Paul from Australia

The 99% blacked out Classic is super cool looking to me and has very comfortable ergos, put the 650 or a liquid cooled engine in it and I’d want one.

I have meters 350 yellow. It was a amazing bike it heavy it not fast, just enough to go where I wanted. It built like a tank but it always trun head when I drive it around. Love her my buffy girl lol.

I like them alot! Though, imo, slightly underpowered. I know there are possibilities out there, but with all that, the price level is Triumph Bonneville. Saying that, I would pick the RE Interceptor for the fun of making it lighter and more powerfull. Speaking of HD and their Nightster/Sportster. How on earth, can someone skilled as a designer, lean back, look at it and say "I did a nice job"? That left side is...well, if it said Ying-Yang on the tank, nobody would buy it. Back to the RE. I tried the RE Interceptor a few years ago and it runs better than the 45bhp tells you. I imagin that losing 20-30kgs and adding 20 horses would be a fun process! Thank you!

Classic 650 and Scram 450 are being seen in Chennai's roads as testing mules. I really wish RE develops a V2 but considering they are more expensive to build comparing to a I2 the chances might be slim. 🤔

Royal Enfield: onenof my favourite manufacturers and one that'll probably be the most impactful onntye market in coming years... And one that makes bikes ill probably never buy. I like my go fast too much, loving on the canadian prairies. A RE would have to be a second (or later) bike and there's just too many other things I want more. Which is a shame, because they ARE AWESOME. I just wish there where such cheap and sexy bikes available when I started riding.

At 8:22 you start a spoken part that is so completely on point. It's one of the, if not THE most eloquent way to say harley absolutely does NOT care one bit about younger, new riders. The Al Bundy-esque shoe salesman of a ceo running the ship in Milwaukee ought to go back to sneakers or wicker baskets.

Yes, RE has the exact opposite approach to doing business.

The video should have touched what actually revived Enfield from filling into bankruptcy: The 2008 UC engine. It modernized the 1940s British design that remained in production till 2008. In 2010 they launched Classic with the UC and that totally changed their fortunes overnight.

Royal Enfield, if you are listening... A stripped down Flat Track edition of the Inter-erceptor 650 with 17" rear wheel and a 21" (or 17.. just not 18") would be pretty sexy indeed.

Owning a Meteor 350, I was a bit disappointed when I testrode a Continental GT 650 because I missed the revving characteristic of the one-cylinder engine. A just slightly beefed up Meteor or Classic I would by right away.

Maybe an air filter and exhaust would make enough difference in power.
