The Fall | Church | Good Omens Animatic | WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS

Hey there folks! I finally went and finished this lil guy! It's much more crowley-centric than my last animatic. There's defo ineffable Husbands tho! Thank you for all the kind comments that you sent my way at the teaser video! This is for you guys :)

Explanation: (I.E Spoilers for the video!)
This entire video is about Crowley giving his love and faith in others. The first time, he found solace and kneeled before god but asked too many questions and fell.
Once he was able to put himself together he went deeper into the caves of hell with the other demons. (Blue-eyed lady is Beelzebub,Orange Eyes is Ligur and Hastur is the one with black eyes.) Here he finds solace in numbers. In their mutual hatred of heaven.
This carries onto eden where he succesfully tempts eve and he mockingly makes a show of kneeling before God in hopes of a reaction. He doesn't get one and loses it and starts tearing up the place she made in anger. He then notices an angel at the eastern wall and decides to take it out on him. As we all know it doesn't quite go as planned since Aziraphale is just full of surprises.
It then takes it to the present day where he is confronted with the fact that the apocalypse is real and is reminded of the time with the holy water incident. It goes on to show Crowley kneeling once more but this time for warlock. In other words Crowley finding solace in humanity.
Which then turns to the main place he found solace in. Aziraphale. The apocalypse then happens. Crowley loses aziraphale. Finds him again and it continues until they're once more in the bookshop. Where Crowley is shaking with the sudden feelings over everything has happened.
He kneels once more and confesses to Aziraphale and Aziraphale?
He kneels before Crowley too and accepts him fully. Aziraphale confessing he finds solace in him too.

Can I just appreciate that after Aziraphale hugged Crowley after his confession at the end that you showed the bookshop as the 'my sanctuary' lyric played. It really is a sanctuary, for both of them and I love it

I think my favorite part is when crowley's face is shadowed and pupils are thin slits when he sees Aziraphel in the wall of the garden and how his face and pupils change when Aziraphel says he gave away the sword. That part is just amazing. Also the swagger walk the nanny has is great. And Crowley confessing, what whole part I was just in love with.

The reason we all love Crowley so much is that his experience is so relatable to us human beings. Lost beliefs; Acute Pain; Revenge attempts but never as satisfying; Fallen in love in the most unexpected place; Kneeling before a kid; Love confession after everything.

This was so much more than I expected. Gosh, the sequence in Hell is so detailed and the mood is so aggressive. They're alive down there, but what kind of life? Then the moment Crowley hears about Aziraphale's misbehavior and the terrifying deep shadows disappear from their face- wow. It made me wonder what Crowley might have been if they had had to go through six thousand years without his counterpart. (Aziraphale is so reticent, so bound in, so far from perfect, but he gives what he believes he can and that's already more for Crowley than most anyone else does.) The moment with Warlock is adorable. What does that shared nod mean? That confused me a bit.

Crowley goes through a whole character arc in this?! From loving God, to being cast out, to gleefully and viciously rebelling, then going to corrupt Aziraphale and instead falling in love... That COMPLETE SHIFT at 1:47 from Crowley being a rebellious demon to being fully besotted? AMAZING. And then that final shift to change "you're holy to me" from being Crowley's words to Aziraphale's? Delightful! Oh, and that eye thing 54 seconds in was SO STRIKING. I had to pause and go back to rewatch that the first time I saw this. (Obviously I had to watch this video start-to-finish a couple times in a row!) Very nicely done. This was awesome!
