Have you heard of a youtuber named "Kross"? She made a video on season 3 of Hilda as well, where I think she says the opposite, that season 3 did stick the landing. It's even literally called "Hilda stuck the landing". Have you watched it?

I can’t believe I cried to a show about a British girl with a blue hair defect, a mom who just found out the meaning of life and two grandparents stranded on an island where they can fly.

FINALLY SOMEONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS SHOW

It was about time you got to the third and final season of Hilda, and despite kind of panicking at first when I saw the video title, I do agree that this was the weakest season in the series. I won't list the pros and cons like I usually do since most of the pros for this season applied to the rest of the series, but aside from flaws you addressed, I do have a few problems of my own with Johanna I'd like to point out... This first one is minor, yet she wouldn't let Alfur and Tontu go on the last adventure? Uh, one, you're not their mother, and two, that made them background characters for the freaking finale. Another kinda minor nitpick is that I predicted that the "child" Hilda found in the Fairy Realm was really Johanna, because I've seen this trope plenty of times to know the "twist." And lastly, her "death" was so sweet and nearly cry, but then it was ruined by her blaming Hilda's dad. If she just said "no" after Hilda blamed herself and left it at that, it could've been the best scene in the series, yet she had to be a jerk as if Hilda's dad shouldn't have been rescued in the first place and that she treats him like an irredeemable family member as if he's a terrible person. But... despite how imperfect the last season of Hilda was and how it could've been better if Netflix Animation wasn't in the state it's in, I still enjoyed it, even though I still prefer Carmen Sandiego just by a bit.

I do agree with what you've said. Not putting Alfur or Tontu in the finale is a major headscratcher. I can understand wanting to keep the plot manageable with fewer characters (again, a major theme of season 3 is the cut corners). The "mysterious child" twist was obvious a mile away. Lastly, you're right about Johanna's treatment of her ex-husband. Right after Johanna was resurrected, she hugged Hilda but not Anders. It would've been more satisfying if there was a "reconciliation" scene amongst the family. You know, "Hey Anders, I know we're separated, but I'm sorry about blaming you earlier. Let's celebrate our victory against the fairies." It's one of the many things I couldn't fit in the final video. But yes, I'd Carmen Sandiego did do its ending more justice.

Tbh, that's true. But hilda has a atmosphere of redemptions for people who are good at heart but misdirected. From the teacher to the mother troll, the yule lads, erik and van gale, etc, all the characters seemed to be on good terms at the end. Yeah, anders is also on good terms with hilda at the end, but he always was. I really expected atleast some attempt of his reconciliation with johanna. But I guess, him deciding to stay in trollberg is supposed to be that attempt from the writers, but i expected at least some sort of a conversation. @@neverdestroyerofworlds

DUDEE MY FAV EPISODE IS THE CAMPING ONE WHERE HILDA AND HER MOTHER FOUND THE MONSTER 😭 I have other favorites, but this one stood out to me. I actually felt fear on that episode 😭 Even though I know they wouldn't kill Hilda and her mother, I still felt like the monster would've killed them (He was actually close to killing them but luckily hate the taste of humans) Edit: I sent this without watching the full video BUT STILL!!

I would say my favorite episode of season three would be the episode where you know Hilda try to convince humans and giants to get along, I do like how her solution didn’t work and it shows the kids done that every solution that has a solution where are you can just talk it out is always the best one.

Hilda was supposed to get six more episodes in season 3, but Netflix said no. Hence why it was a mess.

So how goes media for you these days? I have recently been going into media that's more for grown-ups, as earlier this year, I did watch Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures with Superman (the former you told me that you've watched and the latter started its second season not so long ago). And an anime series I got into is Spy x Family, since I have definitely been feeling like I need more anime in my life. Both seasons were great, and I even watched the theatrical movie, Code White, on the big screen, and even though it isn't canon to the TV show or manga, meaning newcomers can enjoy it without prior knowledge, the movie was definitely made for fans. Another reason I've been experimenting myself with grown-up stuff is because kids content nowadays isn't that great, as Kung Fu Panda 4, while I did like it, problems were noticable and it was the least necessary film, so it would've faired better if the series remained a trilogy, The Garfield Movie had me wondering if it was a Garfield movie or not, and don't get me started on the "sequel" that is Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate (Micromind vs. the Booty Syndicate is a more fitting name for that disasterpiece). But at least gaming and gaming-related content is coming along nicely, with Keanu Reeves being casted as Shadow for Sonic Movie 3 (Knuckles was good, yet I agree with fans on the one major critique that the title character wasn't really the star of the show), and I am trying franchises I didn't get around much like Rayman and Crash Bandicoot. What do you think of the upcoming stuff, and is there anything you couldn't experience in the past that you're able to in the present/future? No matter how long it takes for your next review, I'll be waiting for it!

Hey man! In terms of television, I have not kept up with releases from this year. What I've NOT seen: Spy x Family, Adventures with Superman S2 (will watch at a later date), Code White, Kung Fu Panda 4 (heard it wasn't great), Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate (heard it was a disaster), and Illumination's Garfield (heard it's not worth the money). For gaming related content, I enjoyed the Knuckles TV show (if I have the time, it might be the next video). Keanu Reeves's casting in Sonic Movie 3 is an odd one. But, I'm curious if his take on Shadow will be any good. I'm still waiting for an official movie trailer. Since you're trying out Rayman and Crash, I have two recommendations: -Rayman Redemption: a fan remake of the first game with fairer difficulty. I heard that it's the best way to play if you want a fantastic 90's platformer. -Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy: this is the best place to start. It's hard, but the quality of life features make it the best version. Lastly, for upcoming titles, I'm snatching the PC port of the Kingdom Hearts trilogy. I've heard the combat is fun, despite the convoluted storytelling. But, it's a franchise that's always had intrigue (real time combat against Disney and Square Enix characters). I appreciate the chat, dude. 👍
