Ah man Mining Simulator was actually a good game. Sure, it was a bit p2w but they actually addressed some of that. I remember they had this gems update where you could get insane items even as f2p players. The most expensive thing in the game was a mythical scytche (5000 robux) and there was an item that you could get without robux,some kind of hammer, which was probably close to the scytche. Ofcourse, it was hard to get but unlike Preston, the devs weren't sellouts.

i played pet sim x until summer 2023, i had like 10 huge pets and had most of the gamepasses, but i quit during that event. these are the main reasons: 1. it was boring, all there was to do for me was grind for more huges. 2. it got too ptw, even if i had gamepasses. the titanics would make you spend thousands of dollars to get, and i have braincells. but not getting all those made me insanely behind compared to others. each push I made would only push it a little bit. 3.i was playing other games that in my opinion are better and wouldnt make me spend my life to grind on. honestly I'm glad i quit.

You are not alone. I quit this piece of crap a few months ago. It was way too boring and unfair. My brother got 2 huges in A WEEK. And he was so mad that it wasn't me getting the huges cuz I deserved them. Meanwhile I was playing for a whole year and a half and guess what? Not a single huge pet! I alsoquit for the same reasons as you. Blox fruits and The Strongest Battlegrounds are 200 times better.

fr, started playing pet sim x and everything you can do is click on piles of money to buy more pets. Ive not seen many interesting features and mechanics other than: have 5 of same pet -> make slightly better pet (That is literally useless after like 30 min of playtime.). And I'm a person who actually enjoys braindead sims (to further make my point, I'm currently playing cookie incremental and THAT is braindead af, still has 10 times the amount of interesting mechanics than psx xD).

So im still trying to understand: people gain the ingame coins for free, use them to "purchase" the next section with these coins, and thats considered pay to win/gambling? Im so confused.

I didn’t hate on big games as I didn’t really know what they were when Pet Sim1 was their only game (which I didn’t even play). Once My Restaurant came out I started to hate, Restaurant Tycoon 2 is leagues better and to me it almost felt like they were copying. What a joke Preston and his team are

Im gonna say it rumble studios knows how to make a simulator, they dont shove the purchases in your face (atleast not as much as every simulator) it has the different engaging ways of progressing and pioneered how the simulator formula would work witch was do thing to progress to get to new world repeat so on so forth. Plus they dominated the front page with mining simulator and bubblegum simulator being massive hits. they just know how to do a simulator without needing 50 gamepasses (note there is quite a bit of bias in my favor of rumble studios as they were what hooked me onto roblox in the first place.)

Nahh bro just look at bgs, the whole point of it is to hatch better pets to get better, you progress by going afk grinding 24/7 with little to no gameplay at all. And the p2w aspects was a lot more than you think, for example if you have 3x hatch gamepass, you save 3x more time than those who are f2ps. Plus mining simulator 2 is just bubble gum simulator and mining simulator 1 merged into one piece of crap with the same grinding method
