Spot on. I asked for wisdom at a young age and around 17 years old I started reading the key of Solomon and it opened me up to many things and I told God that I'm good. My desire is to submit and allow His Will to lead, and the temptation of rebellion "the spirit of witchcraft is rebellion" was something I considered myself falling into so I just backed off. This podcast is a blessings and I don't know you but consider you brothers because I would be where you're at with the knowledge of the spiritual world but much worse off because of my rebellious nature. I’ve never felt closer to God learning how to meditate and internalize all Gods promises, expressing gratitude to Christ and also verbal prayer and speaking in tongues. Too many people disassociate meditation from prayer thinking it’s some Buddhist practice, but there’s a difference when you’re believing in the universe (a creation which in turn is idolatry by default, especially thinking you’re saving yourself) vs submitting to the Creator. If you use prayers as your affirmations and ask for wisdom and discernment I feel it makes a world of difference in your level of faith. That’s just my experience, I grew up Apostolic my whole life and have always been a believer of living God with the Holy Spirit as a real experience rather than just something that we revere in our faith. God bless you guys!

"Internalize God's promises" I LOVE THIS. Is there a particular practice or teaching or method you use? This year I've experimented a lot with meditation and my knowledge of the new testament & old testament. I have had to kind of find my way but you are the only person to articulate what I've been essentially doing. It actually overlaps with some of the new age stuff to be honest with you. But it is what it is. I feel like the guys are a bit hard in the paint towards visualization and meditation. I think Christians aren't doing enough meditation as part of their worship nor are they given guidance in their inner life. Everyone just assumes the Holy Spirit guides their mind and thus Christianity seems stuck in its progress. To go deeper and more intimate with God we have to navigate our inner lives with him and internalize the gospel
@GARZA_ICMG2 ай бұрын
@@joshuastephenward5316 I started doing the gateway experience since it teaches you how to get to the point of accessing your subconscious, although their affirmation I’ve rewritten to align with the Holy Spirit. Once you’re in your subconscious you’re able to essentially re identify who you are to yourself, this is how I beat alcoholism and cocaine addiction. Your subconscious idea of yourself plays out in your actions and this gives you access to “reprogram” yourself. Since it’s not religious at all they have you repeat an affirmation that essentially tells you to only invite energy equal to or greater than your own and to protect you from any lesser, whereas I ask to only invite the Holy Spirit to rebuke all that is not of God. I ask for guidance, wisdom, discernment and to be made an example to lead others to Christ. If you want me to write it out in detail let me know. But use headphones and lie down in the dark especially since you may fall asleep the first few times. Look up intro to focus 10, learn those steps by heart and you’ll essentially be able to meditate to any kind of binaural audio/etc although I recommend getting to focus 12 and 15. It’ll take some time to get the hang of.
@GARZA_ICMG2 ай бұрын
@@joshuastephenward5316 no clue why they deleted my previous comment I spent so much time on but if you learn the intro to focus 10 steps from the gateway experience but use your own Holy Spirit guided affirmation instead of theirs it’s an excellent practice to learn how to detach from your physical experience
@GARZA_ICMG2 ай бұрын
Once you learn focus 10 it’s essentially the quickest way to turn the body off and dig into your subconscious, while in that state you have extreme mental clarity being that your thinking isn’t based on your personal experiences, traumas or biases. You can get to the root of issues or bad habits/sinful nature easily. That’s how I realized my alcoholism was rooted in a self image/self worth issue and I told myself who i was and know myself to be while in that state. I woke up everyday with the idea that I was a degenerate alcoholic therefore I continued that behavior. It’s a great time to remind yourself that you are redeemed and made new thru Christ, and you feel your prayers and faith resonating through your whole body.

Interesting podcast. Good to hear from real Christians living real lives and acknowledging real spiritual dynamics. I just wanted to address the issue regarding “manifesting”, and ‘Christianized New Age’. We don’t manifest, we pray. We don’t manifest, we declare by faith, BUT NOT of or from ourselves. It is GOD who works. it is Jesus Word, power that causes the fulfilment. Peter may have been the instrument for the lame man to walk, but Peter said so in Jesus Christ’s name and it was the Holy Spirit that healed the man. We don’t manifest, GOD does. We pray, and declare by faith. Reality is in the hand of GOD.

This follow up question gets to the point: when someone is saved, do all of their sinful behaviors just vanish? And if not, then why? This basically goes back to what Paul writes in Romans chapters 7-8. Your mind agrees with the law of God but your flesh still sins. It's not you doing it, but your sinful, fleshly nature. Over the course of time, God works to sanctity us. I hope this helps.

When Dr. Cocchini started talking about Solomon trapping the evil spirits in a vessel and throwing them down into the abyss, it reminded me of something Jesus said: Matthew 12 38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” 39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here. 43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” It's interesting that Jesus mentions Solomon specifically. I thought about Solomon's downfall being the spirits that he gathered up and cast into the abyss. He got rid of them but they came back. It's interesting to me that Solomon gathered the demons and cast them into the abyss, Israel prospers, but in the end they return via his many wives and the gods they worship. I'm basing all of this on some of the things Dr. Cocchin said during this interview.

I was seriously taken aback in the beginning of the podcast when it was expressed that the desire to have a wife was in the hopes that she wouldn’t be “ugly”. I suppose my ego expected two intelligent & spiritual men to be more compassionate about such superficial judgments and desires. all of creation is perfect and beautiful, and the outer shell has nothing to do with the function & beauty inside. But I suppose that trigger is something I need to personally work on (thank you for allowing me to see it). I am very lucky to be an attractive woman. But that doesn’t mean I was always beautiful on the inside too. Beauty can be seductive. Opening your heart to all is where the magic lies 💕. Much love to you. I’m thrilled you found your happiness and life-partner. Many blessings still to come.

@hopepolenica9712 ай бұрын
@@TaylorAWelch I’m sure you do enjoy that as a typical man. I’m glad God has granted you that wish fulfillment of an attractive partner. I suppose it’s the fact that you were focusing only her beauty and not her other lovely qualities. That just presented itself as a trophy, and a bit superficial; And it undermines her value. Take care of her and please I hope you can make her feel treasured, special, and loved outside of her beauty…even as she ages and no longer measures up to your standards of physical perfection. I wish you many happy years together. I have been glorified for my beauty, but all I ever desired was to be truly seen. Please fill her heart with true passion and compassion beyond the physical.

The “true beauty” of a woman or man is not in the exterior façade of their bodies surface-level physical qualities of aesthetic “attractiveness”. BUT in fact, things much deeper within (granted by God), nurtured by the truth of the Holy Spirit and Biblical wisdom. The inner health of the body grows in the sustenance of whatever (+ or - ) it is fed or given, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, relationally, and spiritually. This contributes greatly to the light in someones Eyes, the love in someones Heart, the truth in someones Mind, the justice in someones Will , the compassion in their tempered Emotion, and the faithfulness in their relationship with the LORD above as well as others with us here. We develop unique personality characteristics, develop God-given talents, learn new skills, nurture integrity thru God’s moral standard, feed on Biblical wisdom, acting out our values thru righteous behaviour or even fall short in sin. Experience in failing continually brings us back to repentance at the foot of Christ’s sacrificial forgiveness where the peace of the Lord surpasses ALL understanding. Our spiritual soul is renewed our character settled an built back on the one true cornerstone of where our faith, hope, and love is truly at perfect rest. The fruit of the Lord is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, & Self-Control. GAL 5:22-24 True beauty comes from the Lord’s loving mercies & grace on us and our soul as we are being daily tempered by the refiner’s fire thru the Holy Spirit. We become transformed into the True INNER Beauty inside the Temple of our God-given bodies which then expresses externally outward thru our faith, thoughts, beliefs, emotions, personality, words, behaviours, actions, habits, and loving relationships with the Creator, others as well as being good stewards of the creatures and resources of the world. 😊 Jm. 4:8 Jn 14:6

In 2012 after practicing false new age teachings I was spiritually attacked for four days. I can speak for days on what I experienced but the last thing that happened to me when I was healed was I vibrated like a bell for about 4 hours. I’ll probably never get an explanation for that. I would like to tell my story one day but it’s exhausting to talk about.

@@iamsummereve I have been trying to muster up the energy to tell my story ever since it happened. It’s just so intense. The things I experienced filled me with the most crippling fear I’ve ever felt. I was viciously attacked. It began with meditating and praying for the world because I’d had enough. I offered myself as a sacrifice, even willing to give up my sexual nature. I was longing to see a better world and I still long for it. The problem was I didn’t fully know Jesus yet so I was calling out to anyone who would hear me, I was begging any higher dimensional being to hear me and something did hear me. I remember the feeling of it entering my body. My girlfriend at the time knew something was not right with me. She started crying and took me to our church and when Brandon the pastor saw me he also knew something was very wrong with me. They couldn’t help me but knew someone who could. His name is Ken Fish from Orbis Ministries. He literally saved my life. He said “I let every cat in the house inside my body.” Ken has a family and a ministry, he travels all over the world but he took time to heal me. It wasn’t overnight. I had to confess absolutely everything. It took weeks. But on the last day he healed me, that’s when I vibrated for 4 hours straight. I wasn’t just buzzing. I was vibrating like if someone struck a bell with all their might. Again, I can speak days about everything I experienced.

Just as you were discussing about being a liberal conservative, being a Man of GOD does not equal promoting drinking of "spirits". What if someone that is battling alcohol is watching you to learn about GOD and maybe come to Jesus. You are doing a disservice to GOD that he may have to stop watching due to the temptation that you present, by him seeing the booze in the background. It is all about the great commission and we have to be careful of our actions that may prevent that. I can see the Holy Spirit upon you and you are presenting such a good message.
