Thomas - This was the song that started it all for me personally. When we put the second half of this song, with the breakdown leading into the “jammy/guitar rock” section. There was no way to not have screaming become a staple of our vocal delivery. The song title is a reference to many younger people including us, that followed the local music scene at the time, wearing the combo that the song is named after.
Andrew - This song makes me think of the crisp fall days with bright blue skies. This was the first song we wrote together, and it feels as exciting now as it did then. I think that since this song was written by a bunch of 16 year-olds, the somewhat cheesy lyrics seem honest in a way that they don't when being written by someone much older. First love hurts in a different way than any other, and this song captures that for me. The second half always felt like our take on a Modest Mouse part, and I always loved that we wrote a song that found its way into that corner.
