Shipman was my mum's doctor before she died of heart disease. Luckily she was poor. Before the daze of the internet The Fall were singing about satanism and masonry and everything else. A boddingtons philosophy....like Leave the Capital.

I a;ways heard the lyric, after learning that the morphine is only for ladies as the dismayed yelp "What about us?! Shit, Man!" which is way better than a ref to harold Shipman. I run into alot of wrong lyrics that never get corrected online. Like the stones "live with me" official lyric is "she's fond of crazy horse" but its really 'Shes from the Crazy Horse" famous french strip/burlesque joint. Which also makes sense while "fond' is just gibberish. But a sexy french maid colud dig NeilYoung or a doomed noble warrior. Them dirty beatles think its funny to let it be wrong. Learning that shipman stuff nearly killed this song for me and it was the best in ages
