@@antihypocrite510 I've read all the light novels. Kiyo's main internal conflict is that while he wants to be defeated, he doesn't believe he can be defeated. He's asking her if she has the ability to beat him, an indirect way of saying "I'm better than you"

Also I was looking forward to the conversation between Kiyotaka, Ryuuen and Manabu but it didn't happen. So much was left out in their attempt to fit a whole volume in just one single episode unfortunately.

"Add something?"Ryuuen sounded wary. Analysing his defeat wouldn't be fun for him. Still, I had to show him the truth he couldn't face. "If you'd been alone up there, you could've stuck it out. You would've been able to keep fighting." However, Ibuki, Ishizaki, and Albert had been there. Their presence, and the knowledge that they'd share the blame for whatever happened, might've hastened Ryuuen's decision. He surrendered after seeing that possibility down the road, not just because of what happened in the moment. It was a wise move. Of course, I'd manipulated him into it. But in terms of living up to my expectations, Ryuuen had a great deal of potential after all. Thats what was cut from the anime.

They condensed a whole volume into one episode. They cut off that coincidental meeting with Ibuki and Kiyotaka. It's where she challenged him to a fight, and they accidentally got locked in a storage room at the mall, and they had to pretend they were lovers to get out. After that, Ibuki told him that Ryuen was leaving. Kushida was with Suzune having coffee when Kiyotaka came and asked her to join the student council. Nagumo appeared and interrupted their double date. At the meet-up with Ryuen and Kiyotaka, he asked Ryuen to help him with Nagumo and the deal he made with Manabu. Another character then appeared, a 2nd year named Kiriyama. Also, Airi appears. I don't have many details because it's been a long time since I've read it, so yeah. That Arisu x Kiyotaka confrontation happened after the sports fest, though. But it makes for a great ending, I guess. It makes more sense than it does now. Still a great show. They probably should've taken the pace a bit slower, but I'm okay with it. I'm really glad we're getting another season next year. I can't wait for it to come. Yamagod and Class A vs. Class D

In the LN, Ayanokoji wasn't that much of a "douche" on the date. He even imagined Sato being his girlfriend would seem good/normal. My view on Ayanokoji is abit different and better in the LN. I was an anime only then considered reading cos there's waaay too many plot holes.

I know Ayanokouji seems like to be a very cold and smart charactere in general, but this time I think we saw how his rational way of thinking can outplay himself, espacially when it comes to his realtionship with Kei: In fact, Ayanokouji planned to "bond" Kei on himself with his actions, but he thinks it worked out because she is depending on him and his protection still to this moment. Altough, we, the audience, know that Kei wants "to be used" by him, because she developed feelings for Ayanokoiji. In Ayanokoujis eyes it probably would not make sense for Kei to love him after what he did to her. But beliefing she's still depending on him and underestimating her character developement could possible surprise him in the future, for example if she gets tired to chase after him and choose to continue her life without him because she now has the self confidence to act on her own because of Ayanokouji

Don't think I can add much but: In the light novels, I think Ryuen told Ibuki that he'll give his private points to Hiyori and that Hiyori and Ishizaki (one of the goons from last ep) will take over as leaders for their class. Also, I don't remember Arisu talk about burying Ayanokoji (I'm actually wrong on that, but she didn't confront him the way way the anime portrayed). It weren't that hostile. Just about how many days, minutes and seconds it's been since she last saw him and letting him know she's aware of the white room. She had a few other moments in the prep for the sports festival, but all of that was skipped. Overall if this season was 2 cour, they could have slowed down the story and It'd be better. And thank you for reacting to this show. I really enjoyed it all.

Ayanokoji didn't know who arisu was because he had never met her before he came to the school, but arisu knew ayanokoji because she saw him through a window in the white room, (she's not a white room student) when se visited it as child 8 years ago. When they originally met in the light novel think Arisu stated that she last saw him 8 years and 243 days ago.

Pretty disappointed with how the anime framed Ayanokoji's "can you bury me" line. In the anime it feels like an indifferent cocky line from him whereas in the light novel it was almost like he was pleading for it. He wants to be defeated, and so he asks her to bury him. Its what he wants the most from the bottom of his heart.

In all honesty the adaptation was disappointing they remove alot of info that would give more info and depth in the character's so that why alot of the mind game seem a bit stupid
