The lady playing the ex-girlfriend turned CO is quite a well known Indian actor, Gul Panag. I wasn't scared for her because she would never have accepted so brief a role as to be bumped off in the first episode in which she appears. Very perceptive comments by Syntell about the change in Srikant Tiwari's (Manoj Bajpayee's) character in this episode. Spot on, though I realized it only after he said so.
