Ferran Adrià is recognized as the most influential chef in the world. His legendary talent, creativity and gastronomic innovations have inspired chefs and food-lovers around the world for many years, at the helm of the iconic restaurant El Bulli in Spain. He is also the author of A Day at El Bulli.
While Ferran Adrià is better known for his innovative and ground breaking gastronomic creations, this highly anticipated new book reveals, for the first time, his secrets for creating delicious, seasonal, and simple home cooked meals.
The Family Meal's recipes are inspired by the dishes eaten by the staff of Ferran's restaurant, the legendary elBulli; five-time recipient of the World's Best Restaurant Award that closed it's doors earlier this year. Every day at 6pm, Ferran's team stopped what they were doing to sit down to eat a three-course dinner together - this is known as the 'Family Meal'.
On September 27th, 2011, Ferran Adria visited Google London to enjoy a 'Family Meal' (cooked in our London office using recipes from Ferran's book) before giving this talk about The Family Meal, what it means to be creative - and the future of elBulli.
