As someone who has been watching you for years, way before even the BTTF podcast was a thing, it's heartbreaking to see that Eric turned out to be a horrible person and that your relationship was ruined as a part of it. Similar thing happened to me, but it was her coworker. Woke up at 3am, checked the texts and confronted her. She cried, and a month later i kickes her to the curb because i cpuldnt live with the cheapened version of myself that she had turned me into. The confrontation was the right thing. Being that it was someone he thought would be the forever one, those type of restrictions do get removed/lessened significantly. It’s inherently risky but when you’re fully invested in someone like that, it doesn’t seem crazy to you to want to help ease their struggles. I feel for him on all of this, as it’s sadly the classic story of betrayal and toxicity that so many go through. We want to believe so badly that someone wouldn’t do things to us because of OUR feelings towards them, but it’s a biased view.

When I heard everything from this first podcast, I remembered the first time seeing Eric as a guest that I liked his humor BUT I couldn't shake something about the guy. I knew to listen to his jokes and laugh but to use caution. I was FUCKING right! Life has thrown so much at me that a sixth sense was developed where I can feel and analyze someone well to the point that I know they're not to be trusted. it stinks that this happened 4 years from when I first watched those videos they were gone but when Fanta went dark for a little while after the talk gibbon bttf episode. i knew something was up when i came home from work and the videos were gone It was only the videos with Eric in it which sounded bad was happening at the time it will feel weird in April when I start my Alabama Unit with a Reviewtechusa video instead of a video that i watched at the beginning of every unit since 2020 and other videos throughout the unit some of you saw it on discord i will show the place where i watched the video called how to quit a terrible job at pier 1 the part talking about the terrible music. that part of the video is what i played for 3 units after 2020 it is very messed up that this happened but really affected the start of every unit in the future.

I’m sorry you went through this Fanta. I am familiar with who you are and who Eric is from Tales from Retail. You will make it through this and things will get better. In my own personal life… My now ex-husband was abusive towards me and he threatened to commit suicide. And he even went so far as to make a self-harm/suicide attempt (while we were married) where I was forced to get law enforcement involved. Afterwards, I went through multiple toxic and odd situations in attempts to move on from my ex after moving out of the area where my ex-husband (used to) live. Sorry you went through this. I understand firsthand how ending a toxic relationship can do a number on your emotions. Take care.

There were even jokes about how Eric tries to sabotage your relationships. They're both liars who were never your real friends. You made the right call cutting them off. I’ve met so many women who expect everything from a man but would cheat and stab them in the back without a second thought. Everyone seems to be manipulative, self centered, narcissist. All they care about is them having instant gratification. As someone who also has a true moral compass I feel you pain.
