I used to go to a little church on a hill with a graveyard there. That’s where my loving darling mother grave. Today would have been 68 today. She died when she was only 36. I can still see mother bowing and praying for us. She died after praying and telling us she loved us.

I need a late pass for The Violinaires records. I'm not a big gospel fan but I respect the message and art. I WILL buy as much of their old vinyl as I can find because it's great music!!! CLASSIC!!!!

Makes me think of Mama. Brings back precious memories. Powerful singing, lead and background (vocal and instrumental). Nobody is trying to out do the other, just blending together.

You would have to have been through something way back 50s 60s to respect the magnitude of these legends. These guys were raw spiritual vocalist. Yall can have that new wave gospel.

Say so son. These boys produced night after night enduring less than ideal conditions. They came through and are sorely missed.

Many of the original singers switched to R &B. They were pressured by poverty. Records executives didn’t promote gospel music like they did the devil’s music, as some religious zealots referred to it. I love both genres. It’s all God’s work
