Regarding Mint's comment about people "taking games seriously" and Survive, I think most of the anger towards that game is more because of the circumstances of Kojima's ousting rather than the game itself. If things hadn't gone down the way they'd have people would be more open to Survive's goofiness.

Yeah it's often come up on the show and I believe fortunately people coming into the series fresh now won't experience the game in that same context and will more likely be able to have fun with it

I really liked Survive, as someone with a casual interest in "survival" type games and who really really wanted to use the MGS5 gameplay mechanics more it was perfect, probably a bit too easy for hardcore survival people but it's a fun and weird thing and the multiplayer was fun for a bit.

I've no doubt that Bloober is excited about being given the opportunity to work on what is probably the most revered horror game of all time, they make horror/thriller games everyone on that team was probably bouncing off the walls but... man... the shoes they need to fill. Bloober have made some cool games but they're like 6's or 7's and their last handful of releases have been more like 5's, the trailers don't fill me with confidence that they've managed to up their game but we'll see, recapturing magic is a close to impossible thing to do, i feel the same about Delta despite using all the same stuff from the original it still stands to lose more than it does to gain.
