Using the rasp is my favorite bit, and removing the sharp ends of the nails from the sides of the hoof. I also appreciate your patience and kindness with each horse. Thank you for sharing. :)

Awesome job! It takes real skill to line up the nails in an even row like that! Excellent how you clean the bottom of the hoof before laying the new shoe on What was that you brush on the hoof at the end? Thanks

Hey Jake, says in your caption that you are a "registered" farrier. Is this required for you to work in your area and is that something you get from going to school to learn the trade, or does someone come and evaluate your work to "certify/register" you? tks for the videos!

*Are all hooves material/density basically the same or are some hooves harder/softer depending on the breed of horse? Environment? Diet? Etc, etc.*
@jenngraham2012
@jenngraham2012 2 жыл бұрын
The size of the hoof may differ from breed to breed, but the basic structure and shape are the same. However, if a horse stands in a wet environment for too long, its hooves will grow soft. A little moisture is not a big deal, but too much can cause the hooves to break down. The hoof becomes too flexible and is less able to absorb shock over time.

Hello. What happens to the hoofs of the horses in the wild? Thanks.
@I.am.better.than.you.

I think because they are in the wild with the harsh rocks and ground that keeps the hooves in better shape also because they are wild nobody’s riding them so a shoe isn’t Necessary and I’m sure there are other reasons but these are the ones I came up with! (Might wanna check that though)

Wild horses hooves are naturally harder and wear down from the traveling they have to do. However if thet start to foot issues or sustains a foot injury, they're done for.

So you can do voiceovers, obviously. For the commercial Like and Subscribe part. But why not use that same voiceover ability to explain WHAT and WHY you're doing what you do? Cleanup is nice, but LEARNING is so much better!
