I didn't know who she was until I looked it up. I was surprised! She is an actual scientist, I love that Net-a-Porter are using women in STEM. All of these outfits are so practical for a day in a science lab ❤

She's a undergrad student along with 10,000 others at UCL. So not really. ... except for being able to afford multiple masters at £30,000 a year in fees and Bottega Veneta, flashy websites etc which most students cant. Family money one imagines... how about a (female) STEM professor in her 40s or 50s? That would b a a bit more authentic.

I love how she ACTUALLY thinks through the scenario and adjusts her outfits accordingly to make sure they’d work in real life. Great style and great taste! I’m a bit shocked by how many comments disliking the clothes in the video… the second outfit is gorgeous, especially the Nanushka top which shapes her upper body really well! And the Margiela coat in the third outfit is definitely something I’d love to get. Maybe I have a style more similar to hers

I believe there was one dear a few years ago. Can't remember if it was Net A Porter but she had great style. I think it leaned towards street style. If I can find I will let you know.

I love non-binary fashion, it is refreshing to see sustainable fashion can be non-binary without looking frumpy.

Why I don’t like the clothes she is wearing even she is beautiful
@eagillum3 жыл бұрын
The first outfit, the proportions of the pieces didn't compliment her body proportions. They should be 2/3. The second outfit, the clothes were too stiff and the puffy [and stiff] sleeves drew attention away from her slim body. Also, the clothes have to have as much contrast amongst each other as the hair is contrasting to the face. She has pale skin and dark hair, so the outfit needs to mirror that contrast. The third outfit that jacket is drowning her out. Not sure how she can access her hands. If you have an angular haircut, slim body, and chiseled face, your clothes should match, so she needs fairly fitted, well-tailored, clothes with attention to angles. She's just not honoring what's going on with her head/face. Yes to the red lipstick though!!

I liked the second outfit. With the other outfits, I just felt that the outfits were swallowing her up as she is petite. She probably needs to think more about proportion on her frame. Good to see real women.

It's funny how she's carefully picking stuff up and putting them on like a little girl in her moms closet.
@AthalieM3 жыл бұрын
that's an apt description. to me, she isn't wearing the clothes, the clothes are wearing her. all very nice individually but none of these outfits feel like actual style, just....clothes on a very beautiful woman.

She's sweet and that haircut suits her so well, but I'm sorry, that's not fashion or style. All 3 are like hobo looks - throw on whatever. The only reason it doesn't look 100% dreadful, but "just" 80-90% is because she's skinny. Those trousers are an investment piece?? They don't even fit her right.

I like her choice but all these green washing from brands....i am not sure how "sustainable" they are really
@annamacm40633 жыл бұрын
Fashion is unsustainable by its very nature, because something that’s hyper trendy this year will be the opposite soon after … it won’t be that far into the future before someone starts to tell us to ditch the big puffy sleeves because “they’re so 2021”. People will stop wearing certain things because the style is “out”, no matter how sustainable the actual fabric is.
@zhenyalee273 жыл бұрын
How do you know it is 'greenwash' if you don't even know if it is sustainable or not. Seems like greenwash is most peoples default
