Okay, DK told Sean to back of neela, Sean didn’t listen so that’s why he gets punched & hated by DK & his crew. I think Sean deserves getting punched & hated. DK told him nicely, he even called him by his name. I honestly think DK is a nice guy just don’t get on his bad side. They just deleted this scene because it didn’t fit DKs character. Glad DK doesn’t die, he was cool.

Only reason i sort’ve disagree with this is mainly because Dk’s most likely around 30, while his girl is in high school, and he’s also shown to be quite manipulative, bringing up her mother as a way to keep her from leaving after she clearly said it was over. With that being said, it’s sort’ve a karate kid storyline, where the newcomer comes in and swoop’s the love interest of the “antagonist”, and it’s completely justified since he’s the “protagonist”. If DK was around Neela’s age, and they showed more scenes of him showing genuine concern for her, Sean would be the antagonist, as of right now he’s a flawed protagonist at best.

DK really loved her and I think that Neela and Takashi knew each other since she was a kid. Their actually have a close bonding and she knows that Takashi's live isn't easy. But then she leaves him for a guy who suddenly appears and try to flirt with her even when he knows, that she's the girlfriend of Takashi. It's not really logical, they should have stayed together while Sean moves on as the new Drift King

actually from the beginning, fast and furious films tell about criminals, right? it's just that these criminals are lined with kinship that makes them look like good people (it's not wrong that they're good people.) But Fast and Furious still upholds its criminal mission, so you could say in the Tokyo drift film it does contain elements of the criminal business between han-DK-even though sean. and in my opinion, what you guys said that "DK is good" might be more like he's calm or something (emotionally stable / no problem). that is my opinion, hope it helps.

This was a nice scene but Neela never really was into DK like he was for her and it showed through the whole movie he wanted to control her, and even tho this was a nice scene and tried to show Sean and DK try to find some common ground and making DK a little bit more human with a sensitive side to him Neela still didnt reciprocate the way he wanted where she did to Sean which angered DK more. So this "1 in a billion" by DK was simply wishful thinking.

I can see why this was deleted... DK told him the nicest way to get away from Neela, and Sean completely ingonres him. Also the fact DK was lied to by Han? And he gets zero tolerence from his uncle for it... IMO DK is the bad guy only in Sean's story... But DK isn't the bad guy as we think, he simply got pushed around by everybody.

I'd pay to watch a one on one hand to hand fight between Sean and DK/Takashi. In their first fight DK effortlessly floored Sean with a right hook and pummeled Sean bloody with punches and a kick. But Sean didn't fight back because DK and his gang would've killed Sean, DK was a Yakuza associate and DK'S uncle Kamata was the Don of the Yakuza. In the alleyway fight Sean was enraged over the presumed death of Han, pushed DK back onto the hood of his own car as DK walked towards Sean with his pistol to shoot Sean in front of Neela and Sean pummeled DK with three punches but DK physically overpowered Sean enough to lift Sean off of him as Sean was in the dominant position wailing on Takashi. So overall DK was physically stronger, more muscular and aggressive. Sean was a fairly good, experienced street fighter from being a juvenile delinquent that was moved from place to place in and out of juvenile correctional facilities while DK was a Yakuza wannabe/associate and enforcer that probably roughed people up daily. In a straight up one on one fist fight, I'd give the slight edge to Takashi, but Sean would've put up a good fight actually trying. Han vs DK would be an evenly matched brawl.

I do feel like the entire movie D.K did kind of leech off of his uncles Shadow of being apart of the Yakuza. He was all bark no bite. It was proven that without the mob of little friends - Supporters behind him. He was pretty much useless besides drifting. But I also do get that he does have a bit of a reason to become the antagonist. His friend is basically robbing him blind, while he looses his girlfriend to Sean. I just feel that by the end of the movie he let his emotions overwhelm him and start aggressively lashing out and because of that he became reckless and it cost him the race and respect from his friends and uncle.

now this is pretty much proof that sean was the antagonist of the movie. (this may not be proof but here) 1. Sean was hanging out with DK’s girl and told him to back off kindly 2. Sean challenges DK to a race after calling DK a different name 3. Sean doesnt listen to DK and gets beaten up 4. DK was having a hard time and Sean was interfering with DK 5. DK went to Han to beat him up for doing something that DK needed then Sean comes up and tries to stop DK even tho its none of his business 6. Sean gets on DK’s nerves and makes DK go on his bad side
