Aw man, sadly I've put the modding on hold. My wife rides the Zero to work and takes her coworker, so she needs the stock seat and passenger pegs.. and I'm looking at buying a 2nd bike now. Check out what Hollywood Electrics is doing with their track bikes. I think they can customize Zeros with CBR fairings if you want :P

Thanks man! I'm glad there are mad scientists out there making aftermarket parts for us. They just need a little extra finesse to install them :P It's going to be an exciting future of electric hot rodders though!

i think the electric bike era was suppressed for more than a century by oil industry was that, the repair and working around on them is considerably easier and most of the time can be done by the owner itself. Moreover, the moving parts are very few hence the post sales servicing cost is also seriously low. hmmm.

At 2:15 I would have definitely got some flux and solder to tin the wires before assembling it. But I like to over engineer everything. Nice work though.

Do you have a wiring diagram on how you wired the chargers up in parallel?

Nope, but we just spliced together the DC cables with Y connectors. It was super simple 😁👍

Can we buy this set up ? I have an opportunity to buy a 2016 ZERO DS ZF 11.4 presumably the charger has died as it won't accept charge !

Nope, sadly these aren't made anymore. You might be able to find a used set online.. but if the bike won't charge, I suggest not buying it.

So, just how old is your Zero? I hope to get one by next year; but like you I'm on an Island, but without any dealers. I plan to get it shipped over, so I'm not looking to have to do much matience or mods like you guys! I don't have those kinda mad skill - I'm all about the plug and play! 😁🤙

I have a 2015 SR, and so far I haven't had any problems with it. Same for Tim's 2016 DSR! And you can find them for pretty cheap now :D

Sucks about the brain burning up. I’m confused about one thing. CA is nice, I grew up there, but how could Tim or you miss it when you are in NZ? It took me about 30 min to watch this video with how bad the internet is where I am but it was worth it. Great video clips as usual.

Haha, thanks man. We miss the warmth, most of all. Summer just ended here and there's a full-on storm hitting us today. I know it's been raining in the bay area lately, but I still miss it. It's definitely time to get out and explore more of NZ on our Zeros, though.. so get ready for some long-overdue road trip videos!

Yea. I hear you on the warmth. It’s been storming here too. It’s no good for riding but definitely great for appreciating the raw power of natural electricity. The wind makes me wish for more wind power use. I’m ready for the road trip videos. Any word on weather your drone was able to be saved?

@@stevenb7319 Oh man, I got it working and then immediately flew it back into the ocean. I guess I didn't learn my lesson. So it needs a new gimbal/camera but then it should fly again.

😂 maybe you should look into sending it to Liquipel. The over the water shots are beautiful and you are on an island. Granted it’s a big island... but still. It’s hard to avoid great photo opportunities. It’s bound to happen.

Hi, I'm not sure what the problem is but it sounds like your charger is dead. That or the DC/DC converter. Is there a dealership near you?
