IPS displays do not suffer from burn-in issues, which is a common problem with OLED screens, especially when static images are displayed for long periods. For heavy gaming, where certain HUD elements are constantly on screen, this is a valuable trait.
@jackwilson5542Ай бұрын
Burn in is (mostly) thing of the past unless you really push the display. (Max Brightness combined with a lot of strong static for long periods of time) Last device that had burn-in issues was Galaxy S9 and that was also with improper use.

I've owned a lot of oled devices, all for years. Burnin never actually happens. Never had a single burn in problem with any of them. However.. my LG v20, which was ips had a really bad image retention problem, which is similar to burn in. So yeah, ips can have image retention problems. Newer models probably won't but I'd rather take my chances with an OLED.

It's baffling how tablets are half the price of phones while carrying the same internals and build quality. There's no way cell antenna's and a decent camera would bump this up to $800 - $1000, yet that's what we pay for a device that's half the size.

Chris, dubstep and EDM isn't something you use for max volume testing. Skilled gamers use them at fixed reduced volumes for background audio, and that's where they SHINE. Like with a proper filter. But there's still some nocopyright music that's "lighter" on the ears. Off the top of my audiodetected playlists: Inova - Enraged d3stra - Samurai Andrew Vice - Outrun c152 - Night City Makewish - Welcome to Hell Maybe also d3stra - Skyfall \ d3stra - Happy New Year P.S.: I have no idea how copyright claiming works, there are a lot of ways of avoiding it, but the very reason I know about such NCFYT music is from a said gamer, who never, EVER, not even in passing, mentions ANY music that he uses. Because a separate blogpost without specific music per video doesn't count. And he clearly doesn't get any strikes. Maybe since he filtered\shuffled\faded out and playlisted them - it doesn't count, but... if any audio-detecting plugin can recognize that music - then I'm sure any copyright mechanisms could a well. Point is - as far as I know... this music is clean.

You'd want your games to run off the card transfer speeds(700mbs peak of UHS3), instead of UFS 4 storage(up to 5800mbs)? It's the same reason why steamdeck was preferred with upgradable SSD and not that old model with a memory slot. And what would you need dual usb for? Outputting to a monitor while charging?
@tdata545Ай бұрын
@@WirxawTanev For emulators? None really need more than 100 megabits per second. Anything faster and rarely an emulator will take advantage of it since if they're emulating discs, some games rely on the slow read speed of discs that emulating faster speeds can break games or cause glitches. Only system that could benefit from insane speeds are flash memory based. Like cartridges or "Cards", and even then, that ONLY comes into play for "FAST FORWARDING".

@@tdata545 Well, if you mean emulators of nintendo and otherwise handheld games... you probably don't need Sd8g3 for this. And this tablet in particular. But... I know that other games can be emulated as well, my friend showed me 2012+ PC games emulated on his Pocophone(cringe, but it was a decent proof of concept, otherwise what good are these 1-4tflops of modern GPU performance?), and these games could probably use better memory and for them you'd probably want sd8g3 for performance. And perhaps even modern mobile games(all those gayshins) could use more storage speed as well. I mean it's not like devs develop them for phones with memory card slots, heh. Don't get me wrong, I am not against memory cards as an option and a headphone jack(that could actually be more important, since I wouldn't mind feeding FLAC to my decent headphones if I'm using a flagship gaming tablet), I just think that this isn't as much of a priority for a gaming tablet as it is for a cameraphone that actually needs to handle large volumes of media.

@@romanticbreak-up7357 I don't know about you, but I can't buy it in Europe yet, but I think it will be possible in a few days, it's a pity that you can't insert a SIM card

Weird a gaming tablet without headphone jack? No SD card that sucks but not a deal breaker somewhat... But having both would make this a "GAMING" tablet... This is just a tablet with good cooling...
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
Very odd and more so as their phones have the 3.5mm jack!!!
@Phones007Ай бұрын
Really wish it had a Amoled panel not Ips
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
Same and 3.5mm it would be then crazy good for the price.
@idhammmАй бұрын
Same, but the target market is mobile gamer so it's kinda acceptable, you don't want dead pixels after a long game session though the battery consumption might increase
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
Sure no screen burn and for the price tag and using the screen it's not a bad IPS blacks look deeper than usual.
@stewwey4059Ай бұрын
for the price it should be an AMOLED, Mini led, OLED display. Ipad pro M2 are cheap rn it has LCD display but it has a retina liquid display which is really nice and different from regular LCD display

2138596 antutu holy cow strange tho some other youtuber got like 1.7M how is that possible
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
I used performance mode. Redmagic claim it can do 2.3 million Antutu
@mikiswordbreaker4805Ай бұрын
Large sized..pretty much it got a large space for the SoC to breathe and cool..so the SoC doesn't easily heat when heavily performing tasks..
@CentientBeingАй бұрын
It's a gaming tablet so OLED wouldn't be ideal, ips is better for high refresh rate screens especially in graphically intensive apps and games, OLED draws more power therefore gets hotter faster.
@iKassie2002Ай бұрын
Also OLED screens will burn over long hours of usage
@CentientBeingАй бұрын
@@iKassie2002 correct 😎
@jackwilson5542Ай бұрын
"OLED draws more power" Are you kidding me? It draws 30-80% less power depending on screen/amount of darker pixels on the screen. If it is bad OLED and it is static on an uniform white screen, then it may draw like 5% more. (But unless you like staring at a white screen for hours, it is much more energy efficient)
@CentientBeingАй бұрын
@@jackwilson5542 ye it draws less when looking dark shi but how long you gonna sit looking at dark shi, especially in game and graphically demanding apps hmm? Burn in occurs much easier due to the power draws on dynamic usage... Bruh come on.. 😑
@jackwilson5542Ай бұрын
@@CentientBeing Dude just type "OLED vs. IPS power efficiency" into Google. Most content including games contains various shades of light/dark.

if u do "gaming" review I begging you test it in different games, not only genshing. I have "gaming" phone and its wonderful in genshin but in carX street its trottling in 2 mins

The magicpad2 goes for 400 bucks. Woild rather get that tbh. The soc isnt as fast but you get 12.3 inch oled screen
@gw3extreme254Ай бұрын
It has nothing to do with the AMOLED screen or the IPS screen. It's more relate to the certificate licensing for L1.

For the price I think it's reasonable. But would I buy it? Probably not. If I'd want to buy a gaming device, I'd make sure it's a proper gaming device.. So OLED and 3.5mm jack are deal breakers for me 😐
