The FASTEST Megane RS in the UK!

This week we were lucky enough to revisit James and his Mk4 Megane which we featured a few months back when it was running 340bhp. This car is now pushing 406bhp since the addition of a hybrid turbo.
Prior to this new setup, James' car was running a KTEC sports cat exhaust system, KTEC induction kit, Wagner intercooler and an RS Tuning Map producing 340bhp. The car has now been completely changed with the addition of a TTE (The Turbo Engineers) hybrid turbo, a Mk3 Megane gripper differential which manages the increased power very well in the corners and a new OEM clutch.

This car is an absolute WEAPON. I don't think anything will rival the power, drama and sheer capability that this car offers, not least for the money Renault want for one. Whatever the car journalists and KZbin reviewers have said about this car in the past does not do it justice, this is the best car I have ever driven.
We want to say a HUGE thank you to the owner James for now only allowing us to feature his car first, but for throwing us the keys and allowing us to take it for a rip to experience it for ourselves.

Bitofpizza I test drove a high mileage RS a couple months back, but in the end I settled for and just bought a 2020 Abarth 595 Comp in BRIGHT green, so who knows... maybe it will appear on the channel in months to come ?! ;)

Absolute monster of a car! I bought a mk4 Megane rs a month ago, brand new. Planning on modding it but a bit worried about the warranty? Is is possible to mod it without avoiding warranty? I know audi allows MTM mods without avoiding the warranty. Whats the situation with the mk4 Megane?

Anything hardware related would most likely void a warranty BUT I’ve had warranty stuff carried out before with mods, as long as the thing that’s broke hasn’t been altered with I.e if you remap the car and the clutch goes they won’t cover it but if your windscreen wiper motor goes, they’ll fix that 🤣

Seems very rapid! How much torque is it putting out? The face-lift will only be available in an Auto and will have 300hp as standard.

I believe it was just shy of 550nm which is incredible for a car with such a 'small' engine. It was certainly very quick, the most exciting car I have ever driven that's for sure.

Man that car seems dangerously quick, I wonder what the top speed is now What set up does this RS have? Is it at that power reliably or would one have to worry everytime you start it? I'm skeptical about tuning my one with the EDC not really sure.

Hello, I also have a Megane 4 RS CUP 280 manual gearbox. Reprog at 310hp and 450nm of torque. My clutch can't handle torque. The Megane on the video has a reinforced clutch? Or the original clutch? Thank you for your answers.

How much did it cost to get ti 406 hp? Hell I would be happy to get it to 340... I got the manual, but the gear box is too weak stock to do anything with it right now. Could you clearify the gear box mod? Did he change the entire thing or did he only take some parts from mk3's box? Could you write the mod list by any chance? Your accent is too strong lol. Thanks!

Hi, does anybody know the inducer and exducer's diameters of the turbocharger in object from TTE ? It's the turbocharger about they talk in the video. I need these dimensions because my tuner ask them for, otherwise he does't feel safe to remap. I asked to TTE but they say that they don't give this simple detail, even if I already had the turbo upgraded from them and now it is on my car. So now I can't remap and try to achieve the 400 hp they claim on their website. Only solution seem to open the turbocharger and take the dimensions by myself. I hope someone can help me, If I knew before that they don't give such a simple detail, I didn't buy anything from TTE Global. Thank you.

And the manufacturers machanical warranty? I love the idea of tuning cars like this but it should be noted that if cars are still under manufacturers warranty modifications will compromise any claims. Ye it's a boring subject but it needs to be said

James hasn't taken it on the track yet, but I suspect with the Mk3 gripper differential handling the increased power really well, this thing will be an animal on track.
