I had to renew my Italian passport at the Swedish embassy and I was surprised by how quick they made it! Sure, I had to bring my own pictures and bring cash (?) to the embassy, but everything went extremely quick after all!

Comparing to getting a swedish passport today, this feels like either a fever fantasy or a glimpse from the far future. Getting a passport in FIFTEEN minutes? A real one?

hey u did the registration in AIRE before you book an appointment? they asked you for something else there like familjbevis certificate or only appointment, photos and money?

Hai ragione, per l'appuntamento ora ci sono tempi di attesa molto più lunghi. Io l'ho prenotato prima dell'estate e l'attesa li era di circa un mese ma ora so che ci vuole molto più tempo per un appuntamento. Immagino che tutti gli italiani all'estero stiano rinnovando i loro passaporti dopo un anno e mezzo di pausa.
