i enabled the Vow of Thorns echo modifier at the beginning of the video (0:21). dying with this modifier enabled sends you to depths instantly instead of having to die twice normally

yeah, I abused a bug for this to happen (recalling a mantra to bring up autodidact menu) then interacting with the shrine first, powering up to 17 via investment points and then finishing dialogue with the shrine to get power 20

Is there a reason why you gathered exp after hitting pwer 16 rather than just shrining immediately? bro can someone help me 😭 i'm tryna do deepbound after unlocking it but i'm always getting wiped before i'm even power 5 the highest i've gotten to without being 3v1ed by random people or just died to mobs from my own stupidness is surprisingly amazing 😭 idk why i've tried to do the trial of one a few times as lone warrior but i jus can't pass the second part of it honestly the first stage is quite easy it's just everything past that that's hard ash for me so if anyone got any tips or something i would appreciate it 😭 (i don't have voidwalker unlocked all i have is lone warrior and deepbound unlocked for other origins)

the early levels are the most abysmal for deepbound, so i'm not surprised you're struggling with them trial of one is the most rewarding origin but it just takes a ton of trial and error as well as the right mindset, it took me over 50 tries myself the first time voidwalker is honestly not worth picking anymore the game should be about having fun at the end of the day, i can't really give you any tips but to try and try again until you find out what works

ill just sum up the glitch as this: pressing E on the shrine checks if your character is power 17+ or not if your character's power is below power 17, you can use the shrine to gain 3 levels if your character is power 17, it will just reroll a flaw so if you level up after already having pressed E on the shrine, you can use the shrine at power 17 to gain 3 power levels and hit power 20

the way the shrine works is you level up 3 times. if you talk to it at power 17, it'll just switch one of your flaws. it only makes this check for if you're power 16 or 17 when you talk to the shrine. so basically, just talk to the shrine at power 16, level up via the autodidact menu or by using a training item before quickly interacting with it, then when you hit power 17 during the dialogue you can still level up 3 times and hit power 20
