A speed of 10,000 miles/second is not a realistic speed. S2 is a star orbiting Sagitarius A at a speed of up to 3100 miles per second, or 5000 km/second when passing nearest the black hole.

Maybe the reason why there is a black hole at the center of every galaxy is because maybe when a giant star collapses the matter spews out creating a galaxy and at the center where the star collapsed is how the supermassive black hole forms. Like when a small star explodes and creates a nebula with the white dwarf at the middle except it’s way bigger and there is a black hole instead.
@VestedUTuber4 жыл бұрын
One correction: supermassive black holes aren't believed to be collapsed stars like stellar mass black holes. The actual formation method is unknown, but the leading theories are that they're either the result of multiple merged intermediate mass black holes, the result of massive primordial gas clouds collapsing at a rate that prevents star formation, or even the total collapse of entire globular star clusters during the earliest phases of star formation. One fringe theory even suggests that they may be remnants of a previous universe that died in a big bounce event, since some SMBHs have apparently existed longer than should be possible based on our current understanding of the universe.
