I wish the doppelganger objective was positioned later in the unlock list. I too figured I would do them in order and spent way too much time dying on the doppelganger, and trying out the classes I hadn’t unlocked yet (with worse stats) kind of spoiled the experience when I did unlock them.

cant believe he got rid of the attack speed -> 2x damage perk that would've been so insane, but this was cool too

Dark damage inflicts a status that makes enemies take double damage from cursed hits, so you don't need to boost dark damage itself to maximise the value from the aura--just take a lot more curse! Also 10% magic find charm at the beginning of a run is better than any 10% damage charm any day of the week as it means you get more synergystic items for the rest of the run.

Strength counts towards Dexterity scaling **for ranged weapons**--that trait was entirely dead weight for you; was waiting for you to notice but it never came! Still a great run though; well done!

I had a super good Companion/Aura run. There's a weapon that gives some Companion Buff and the Skelettal Archers are actually pretty strong. Especially when you have 10 of them

There are two buttons that are basically the same thing One is the random character button The other is selecting doppelganger and playing

Doppleganger is a challenge class. You have lower stats and don't get to choose which class you are. It's for streamers and people who want a challenge.

I feel they should’ve just dumped doppleganger entirely and gone for only the chaos character… but like after winning X runs with different characters. If you want reduced stats or whatever, you can just take some mastery points out or skip a food or two or whatever, the random button is good enough without having any other twist for doppleganger than makes it actually interesting. Being like “okay chat, today we’re hitting the random button but without optimal starting stats” is a weird ~challenge run~ vs doing a like meta progress reduction and/or cinder level increase

Oh wow, Tyler absolutely demolished the rock golem I hate that boss so much because I always get hit at that "flappy bird" attack as Tyler calls it because I am never quick enough to dodge it It's like a guaranteed hit it's so fucked

If it helps, the bars spawn in front of the golem. So if you see him running towards the centre of one of the sides, you can just head above or below him and it can't hit you

With the fairy synergy u honestly could have rerolled the the crushing hit trait. It increased your minimum damage roll by like 80% i think

So far i have seen: Corruption aura; item Holy aura; item, consumable Fire aura; trait, item, consumable Lightning aura; trait Poison aura; trait, item Ice aura; trait, consumable Piercing aura; item There might be more, but still, the fact you can get almost every main damage as an aura (might be every, not sure), makes it a fairly legit build haha. Then one could choose to either specialize one element, or go aura focus and make them all go nuts. From there you basically just passively dodge and weave while stuff dies haha

The blacksmith cost scaling goes up past the base 3, and can make higher smithing upgrades really hurt to try and buy, but yeah, generally, its better than the other option
