I hear some crackling at certain filter/resonance positions. Try to put a cable into "EXT AUDIO" not connected with something else, this might eliminate it. The Noise Oscillator bleeds into the normal oscillator and this is to my understanding with all Crave's like this. I exchanged my first Crave since I thought it might be broken but it turned out the second behaves the same. Now I use it always with something connected to "EXT AUDIO". Still a great machine, I love it.

When I got the crave I wired it as the first synth In the midi chain ,it was causing slight latency but enough to cause it to sound a bit dodgy ,I had to hook it up to the synthtribe app to change the settings to auto so it would receive midi so once I got that set up I could stop using it as the master so I wired it so it was further down the chain ,the stutters disappeared and then I noticed you could swing the tempo as well ,the crave can produce some deep bass and with the swing capability i can do big deep chunky syncopated bass lines. 👌

So, I ended up getting one of these - how are you keeping the volume (if not the bass) when you take the resonance up? Mine not only thins out but gets really quiet too. Do I have a defective unit or are you using a compressor on that with makeup gain that keeps the level consistent when you crank up resonance?

Also I noticed you're going out through the headphone jack rather than the VCA out - does that have anything to do with it? I'm not sure how you can even do that unless it's split into to mono ends to input into your audio interface. It's all kind of confusing. If you have any advice I'd be so appreciative. I pretty much bought it because of the sound you got on this video, which I seem not to able to get.
