זכיתי לראות את הרב ישעיהו בלוס אנג'לס בהרצאה וכנס שערך אחד מתלמידיו עודד סומך בבית כנסת בצפון הוליווד ב2003. קשה לראות שהוא חולה סרטן זמן כה רב בלי רפואה. ישראל הפסידה רב עצום שכמוהו בגלל המאסר. וגם תפסיד עוד המון אחרים בגלל החוקים, ההסגרים, הבידוד וסגירת נתב"ג.

Dear Rabbi Mizrachi, Please retract your statement that anyone who rejects the ruling of a Gadol Hador is liable to the death penalty. You did not accurately portray the meaning of the Pasuk in Shoftim where the words Ish Asher Yaaseh Bezadon refer to a Zaken Mamreh. This is a Rabbi who after hearing the Psak of the Sanhedrin renders his own Psak against their ruling. Such a Rabbi must be put to death. No death penalty is administered to someone who ignores the Psak of a Beit Din or Gadol Hador, although he violates the Issur of Velo Sasuru! Looking forward to your public retraction.
