The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves "Stage Theory" - Revisiting the EVO 2023 Teaser Trailer

If you think about it, most of the Garou characters are being moved to Central City, with only Tizoc and Hotaru so far still having their stages located in Second South apparently. That being said, here's my theories: * Geese Tower and Abandoned Dojo might be just used for key fights in story mode and not be associated with any specific character. If not that then yeah, Nightmare Geese and Mr. Karate II could be the ones to go with them. * National Park will likely be given to Gato. * Factory could be given to Yamazaki, in case he's in the game, or Freeman. * Live House could also be used for a key fight, or be given to a newcomer. * Southtown Airport could also belong to a newcomer. Unless they plan on bringing Alfred back. * Dream Amusement Park will probably belong to either Dong Hwan or Hokutomaru.

It took me a long time to realize that the first stage(the one with the Street Stars sign)shown of this game is Jack Turner's stage of AOF(Mac's Bar, the actual name of the place). Lmao

Here's my theory on what possibly (insert Rooflemonger's singsong voice) whose stages these are. Geese Tower: Kain R. Heinlein's new stage. In Garou: MOTW, Kain palace crumbled to ruins after the final fight between him and his nephew Rock. So, Kain decides to use Geese's Tower for secret meetings and business. Or is Nightmare Geese's stage. Which makes more sense as said stage is always associated with Geese. National Park: Likely Joe's stage since he had the stage in Fatal Fury 3. Or a new character's stage. Or possibly Hokutomaru's since he'd lived in a forest. South Town Airport: Since Fatal Fury shares the same timeline as Art of Fighting, and since we have an AOF related character in the game, I'd say this stage is Eiji Kisaragi's. In AOF2 his stage is the airport, and like with KOF, it'll be the first time he'd be playable in the AOF/FF timeline since AOF2. Abandoned Dojo: Easily, this is Ryo Sakazaki's AKA Mr. Karate II's stage. It perfectly suits Ryo/Karate II as his father, Takuma Sakaszaki's AKA Mr. Karate I's stage in AOF1 was an abandoned dojo. Live House "Old Line": I see this as Blue Mary's stage for she is associated with bars and Jazz. But it could possibly be Duck King's new stage. Factory: That I see as Freeman's new stage. Or for a new character.

I've liked the trailers for the stages and music, isn't quite exciting enough to talk about a bunch but still, if the choice was these trailers or none, I'm happy with 'em. Eiji cameo was a fun surprise. Love the "who's stage is thiiiis~?" soundbite, haha. But yeah, I don't think we have to worry about a Geese revival

I feel like most of these theories ignore the possibility of new characters, and new successor characters. For example if they wanted a new kickboxer character, it would make sense to associate it with Franco Bash, and then revive his factory stage.

You mean box? Franco Bash was a boxer, Joe, Hwa Jai, King and Preecha are kickboxers/muay thai practitioners. Though, going back to Franco, I think he had a son named Junior, I think he could be a new character, just like Rock and the Kim brothers are the successors to Geese and Kim Kaphwan respectively

interesting stage theory discussion. I still find it interesting seeing Hotaru literally inside of geese tower for the first time but like you said probably for a story cutscene against a boss or her confronting her brother but i do find it odd hearing her from the evo 2023 teaser trailer from abandoned dojo since the dojo seems outta place for her due to her stage in cotw as you said it an inspiration to her old stage in motw and how she'll confront gato maybe in his stage from motw back or a new one inspire by his old one

Do you think for the Amusement Park Stage, that Raiden could still be in the game because that was his stage in the first Fatal Fury. So, is that a chance he could be in the game or is he being saved for Raiden/Big Bear's stage?

Do you genuinely believe that all 22 characters in the base roster will get their own stage? Like, are there any fighting games that actually have that many stages (pre-DLC)? I'm kinda thinking that the locations shown on the map are just places to go to meet characters in the RPG mode.

First of all, I mentioned several times that this stage theory has been propagated by Rooflemonger and others. Not me. This video is me saying, "If this stage theory is real, then how do you explain this?" Second of all, they announced the RPG mode the day after I uploaded this, so unless there's some hidden future sight powers that I haven't tapped into yet, I dont see how you would think Id have knowledge of that mode beforehand.

@@suryans5851 Also, the base roster isnt 22 characters its 17. The 5 additional characters are DLC characters and their release schedule is spread throughout various points of 2025 with one even being released in 2026. I get why they worded it that way seeing that the game will only be released in the special edition format with the base game plus the DLC, but that doesnt make the DLC "base roster" they just packaged them together.

My theory is that geese will return as nightmare or normal the national park will be joe the airport i dont have ideas the ??? Will be mr karate,live house i think that some stages clásic will have a few characters because in the 2 trailer in marco image its seen a forest (sarah forest) and the factory i think will be dolvic borne the yellow jacket character of the cancelled garou 2 and why he and not other character? Because i have the theory that he is mr big son and a theory that i have of the canceled garou 2 before the anuncement of city of the wolves is that when rock beat kain (my main) the crimínals in south town will be doing things because kain control de city after geese death and dolvic as mr big son i think that he arrive in south town to recorver what is rightfully of he the boss criminal of south town and that s my predictions and theorys
